It's Never Gonna Be Too Late.

At Least She Found Someone.

Alex's POV.

I woke up the next morning to an empty bed.
I heard Bob watching the television in the other room.
I stretched and went into the living room.
Something looked out of place.
Thinking for a brief moment, it came to me.
Ashe wasn't here anymore.
"Bob, where'd Ashe go?"
"She must have left early this morning. She wasn't here when I woke up, which was an hour or so ago."
I sat on the couch, both worried and confused.
Why'd she leave without saying anything?
Where would she go?
The only person left to go back to was Gerard.
I went back into the bedroom and took out my phone.
I texted her, asking, Where are you?
I dropped it back on the floor and went to sit next to Bob.
"Do you know where she went?" he asked.
"No. I just texted her, though. Hopefully she'll respond soon."
Getting agitated, I went to get my phone again.
She hadn't texted back yet.
I tried calling her instead.
When she didn’t answer, I became worried and tried calling the others.
"Hello?”
“Mikey? It’s Alex. You haven’t spoken Ashe lately, have you?”
“No, I haven’t. Why is there something wrong?”
“No, no, just wondering. I’ll catch up with you later.”
I hung up.
Where the hell is she? I thought.
I called Ray next.
He picked up.
“Have you seen Ashe?” I asked.
“Yeah, I saw her really, really early this morning. Why, what’s up?”
“She left my place in a fury I guess and I haven’t spoken to her since. Her phone is off and I don’t know who else to call.”
“Did you try Gerard?”
“No..”
“Well, there you go then. Listen, I have to go. Good luck finding her. Bye!”
I immediately called Gerard.
“Gee, Ashe there?”
“Yeah, hold on,” he said.
“Hello?”
“I take it you found comfort in Gerard once again?” I asked.
“Yeah, I had nowhere else left to go and I felt like I overstayed my welcome at your place. Sorry I never said anything.”
“It’s okay. Well, I’m going to go. I’ll call you later, I guess. Check your phone once in a while.”
“It’s broken. Bye.”
