It's Never Gonna Be Too Late.

Please Don't, Not Now.

Alex's POV.

All of us were ready to get off the bus and head inside the venue.
It was about 9:00 and almost time for the guys to go on.
Frank seemed to be a little down and refused to look at Ashe.
He and Gerard had talked earlier, but it didn't seem to help.
I couldn't look at either Bob or Mikey.
It hurt too much.
It killed me inside to look at Bob and think about what I had done, but then it killed to look at Mikey and see what I was missing out on.
Overall, everything was going wrong.
Gerard held Ashe close as he lead her off the bus and followed Ray.
Frank and Mikey had already left, leaving Bob and I to be the last ones.
He put an arm around my waist and kissed my forehead.
"Love you," he said. "Everything okay now?"
"Yeah, everything's just fine," I lied.
It came easily to me now.
We walked off the bus together and headed inside the small club.
"Almost showtime!" someone screamed at us once we had been inside for thirty minutes.
The guys seemed ready to play again.
"Alex, I'll be right back. I need to get something," Bob told me.
Mikey walked over as soon as he was gone.
"I need to tell Bob what happened. He needs to know. I can't keep this secret from him."
"Mikey, no. Please don't tell him. He doesn't deserve it. At least not now. I'm begging you."
Bob was back already.
"Hey, what's going on?"
"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Mikey asked.
"Sure, what's up?"
I couldn't bear to listen.
I turned around and faced the bare wall behind me.
"You know what? Nevermind. I'll tell you after the show. Let's rock," Mikey told him.
Thank God.
I turned back around, Bob still looking at Mikey.
"Thank you," I mouthed to him.
Mikey walked away and Bob came to my side.
"I'll see you after the show." He kissed me.
"Yeah, see you after the show," I frowned.
