Forever and Always

Paul’s POV

Once I left Analeigh and phased I was immediately hit by thoughts
“you went on a date finally then?” Quil asked, I rolled my eyes mentally
“yeah I did, not that I’m going into details with you” I told him
“aww come on man, you got to see everything I did!” he whined
“that’s because you can’t block your thoughts idiot” I replied with a bite
“hey! Just because you’ve been a wolf longer than me doesn’t mean you’re better!”
“no it just means I’m more in control”
“psh! You, in control? You have the worst temper in the world!” he exclaimed. Another voice joined in then as I ran towards my area for control, sniffing around for vampires as I went
“actually you should have seen it this morning, Paul was able to control himself” Jacob put out there. I had to stop myself from growling as I thought of that moment
“yeah thanks for waking my girl up then chucking her on the floor there Jacob, great way to wake her up!” I told him lowly, Quil snorted
“Paul controlled himself? Show me” he asked, immediately Jacob filled our heads with the moment when I was shaking but Analeigh managed to calm me down with a hug, well they focused on that, I was more interested in the way she looked first thing in the morning with her hair mussed up and a bit of eyeliner under her eyes, she still looked beautiful.

I heard Quil let out a chuff of amazement
“wow, the hot head Paul can be calmed by the touch of a girl, never thought I’d see the day” he whistled in his mind making me wince slightly
“yeah it was amazing, I was shocked as hell” Jacob said in an amazed tone of his own. I really did bark then
“can we get over the fact that my imprint can calm me down and patrol, have either of you smelt a leech near here?” I asked, they both answered in the negative
“no, only near the border but then you expect that and there were no new smells” Quil told me, I nodded and barked at them
“well carry on then, we have another two hours patrol before the others come” they both whined but I barked again and we got on with it.

Once patrol was over and Embry with Seth had taken over, I went home and had a shower. I managed to get in there before Jacob who banged on the door and teased
“you’re only doing it to look pretty for your girlfriend” I growled at him making him laugh as I turned on the shower. I heard him leave and stripped off my clothes before getting in.

I grinned as I dried off after my shower, I had loved the date last night, one of the few I’ve had really and I’m glad I managed to get it right. I didn’t want to take her to a restaurant or anything because I wanted her to myself, and anyway until I was sure that she was mine I don’t think I could take it if any other guys looked at her and I know that if we had gone somewhere with people then some guy would have looked at her and I would have gotten angry which would have scared her off.

I shook my head letting droplets of water get everywhere as I walked out of the bathroom. I grinned when I saw Jacob get hit by it
“hey! Not cool Paul” he complained and I laughed as I walked up to my room, hearing him grumble about imprinted wolves; I didn’t really care anymore, I loved having the knowledge that Analeigh was mine.

I changed then walked downstairs to head out. Billy caught me leaving and asked as he rolled over
“where you going Paul?” I grinned at him
“I’m going to see Ana” I replied, he nodded with a smile
“you really love this girl?” he asked and I nodded
“I did when we were little, the imprinting just makes it better” I replied, Billy grinned widely
“well good, I was annoyed with your play boy ways, I can’t wait to see how you guys work out” I grinned at this and patted his shoulder before I walked out and went off through the woods to Analeigh’s place.

Getting there I frowned, the house was dark, no sounds from within.

I started to worry as I looked through the windows and saw nothing, I had left her here, and a vampire couldn’t have gotten to her without me knowing right? We would have caught a scent and I don’t think she could have hurt herself?

I was about to break a window so I could get in and check when I heard laughter. Looking towards the road I saw Analeigh and Leah skating towards me. I grinned knowing that she was ok and walked over towards them. Leah noticed me first being that she is a wolf and waved over at me with a smile on her face, something that always amazed me these days as she didn’t do it often.

Analeigh followed her wave and saw me, she grinned before coming over on her skates. She came to stop as she nearly collided with me, giggling as she went. I grabbed onto her elbows to stop her from falling and smiled down into her giggling face
“steady” I warned her and she smiled up at me, making my breath freeze for a second
“I am Paul, what are you doing over?” she asked and I shrugged, smiling
“I can’t come and see you and ask you on another date?” I asked and she raised a brow
“already?” she asked and I nodded with a small smirk
“I have to have that second date soon” I teased and she giggled again
“well I see what you’re after now, if that makes you have dates this close together I might bump it up every date” she threatened. I moaned and pulled her closer slightly, wrapping my arms around her body now
“you can’t do that to me” I groaned and she grinned
“aww poor baby, don’t worry I won’t” she reassured me and I let out a breath of air
“good because I don’t think I could go for long” Analeigh grinned before she leaned up and kissed my cheek then looked back at Leah and asked
“are you still coming in for movies?” Leah nodded and Ana grinned before pulling away and shoving me slightly “you need to leave, this is girls thing” she said, I groaned and hugged her to me again
“no! You can’t leave me!” I protested, she giggled and pushed at my chest
“I need girl time Paul! Go plan the date or something and you can come back tonight, I like sleeping with you there” she admitted, I grinned then leaned down and kissed her forehead
“ok, see you later then darlin’” she smiled and skated towards the door where Leah was waiting for her.

Leah waved at me and I waved back, Analeigh blew a kiss which made me grin and shake my head, I heard her giggle as she shut the door.

I turned and walked back through the trees to home.
