Forever and Always

Paul’s POV

I woke up to find Ana still cuddled into me, I smiled as I brushed some hair off her face before easing her off of me and climbing off the bed.

Walking into the kitchen I found Jacob in there eating. He looked up at me and smiled
“hey man, that was a bit harsh last night” he said, I groaned and sat at the table with him, rubbing my face with my palms
“I can’t believe she got like that, I’ve known Niabi since I was born, she knows me and I don’t see how she could think I would ever hurt Analeigh, I know that she doesn’t understand the imprinting thing fully but still she should know me enough that even without the imprinting I would never hurt Ana” I let out the frustration I had last night that I hadn’t wanted Ana to see.

Jacob shrugged
“I don’t understand it fully either and I haven’t known you your whole life but I know that you couldn’t hurt her, anyone can see it when they look at how you act with her, but Niabi is her mother and she is looking out for her daughter, after what happened in California, she must be scared that she could lose her daughter” he said wisely, I looked at him with a raised brow and he chuckled “yeah I’m that insightful sometimes” I chuckled
“yeah, you probably stole that from Billy” I teased, Jacob chucked a piece of toast at me and I laughed as I picked it up from the table where it landed and ate it.

When Jacob left to go to school I walked upstairs to my room and just stopped in the doorway looking at Analeigh.

She was innocent in sleep, her hand curled under her cheek as her other hand was flung across the bed, her legs twisted up in the sheet I had on the bed. Her face soft and peaceful, though even though she looked innocent; there was also the siren about her. Her lips pouted in a way that begged to be kissed and her skin that looked so soft and touchable. Her hand seemed to be flung out in invitation and the sheet covered just enough to leave you wondering what it was hiding.

I shook my head and smiled at my mushy thoughts before I walked over to the bed and leaned my weight on two hands, on either side of her, as I leant over her and whispered
“Ana, time to wake up angel” Ana shifted slightly before opening her eyes slightly to look at me
“it is not time to wake up, it is time for you to get back in here with me” she said, sleep still heavy in her voice. I chuckled and shook my head
“sorry angel but you have to get up now, I have patrol soon” Ana sighed then pouted
“I don’t want to get up, I like it here” I smiled, happy she did but shook my head again
“you can’t stay in bed all day” I took my weight from the bed and bent to pick her up instead. She didn’t squeal but merely wrapped her arms around my neck and snuggled into me.

I set her down on the counter and she gripped it to keep herself upright as she glared at me teasingly from under her lashes
“you are one mean man” she pouted, I smiled and said cheesily
“I’m your mean man” Ana laughed and I smiled as I walked to the cupboard and asked
“what do you want for breakfast?” I looked back at her to see her shrugging
“I don’t want anything right now, I will eat when I get home, right now I want you to come over here and keep me company” she said and outstretched her arms towards me. I chuckled as I moved towards her wrapped my arms around her loosely
“you’re awfully needy today” I pointed out, Analeigh grinned
“well I figure I should get in the practice now for our date which would be when?” she asked, I smiled
“it’s soon ok, not tomorrow but the day after ok, I have patrol late tomorrow so it can’t be then but the day after I’m early then I have the rest of the day free” I told her, a slow smile spread across her face before she pulled me to her and kissed my cheek.

I pulled away and grinned at her making her laugh.

We stayed in the house for an hour before I walked her home.

Stopping outside her door I watched as she hesitated. Pulling her to me I kissed the top of her head and hugged her to me tightly
“she will be fine Analeigh, don’t stress over it” she nodded but I could feel how tense she was. Sighing I let her go and smiled down at her
“it’s alright” I assured her before kissing the top of her head once more then turning and leaving her to go and patrol, wishing that I didn’t have to so I could be with her.
