Maybe It'll Come Tomorrow

This is what I wanted. After living seventeen years in the prison cell of my family home, I was finally getting out. My broken mother slammed the door behind me for the last time; I thought. Really, it was just a momentary jailbreak for me. But of course, I didn’t know that yet.

He’d always said that we could do anything. He was my childhood friend and I was hopelessly in love with him. Of course, he was also the city manwhore, and ignored me when other people were around. But of course, I was a teenager, and naïve.

Then there was him. He was different. He was new to the city, and new to my life. And he might just have been the one to save me.
