Part XXXIV: Seventy-Six

"So what are you saying."
my voice was harsh
and wonderfully my own
"Are you saying he could have survived?"
Enos stared at me
Aves glared
"Well?"
He composed himself

"No, absolutly not, right after that the murderer changed to one again. for six months anyway."
Electrisity flashed thru me.
"Wait a second how many boys have died?"
"Seventy six."
I choked
"Seventy six?"
"Well now you know why were so interested."

Aves finally spoke
Well spoke in english anyway.
"She's a serial killer."
"She?"
the memory of laughter cold and wild
filled my mind.
"The style of k!lling seems very female."
Enos quickly corrected

"You saw something and we know it."
He watched my eyes and I glared right back.
The fuzziness poked at the back of my mind
but I just focused harder
Letting the buzzing flood it out.
I focused on his face
anything to keep the fuzz out
