Missing Eternity

XXXIX: Shadow

Part XXXIX: Shadow

He didn't follow me and I was glad for it
I finally found some Tylenol stashed away in my parents bathroom
I worked on my home work
I watched T.V.
I just sat there
not wanting to pick at the the sore delicate layers of my brain
to try to figure out what the heck was going on in my world
It was becoming full of strange characters
and odd villains
and I was standing in the corner
not sure who was who.

The next two days passed quickly and uneventfully
And then it was Friday
D-day
Shadowing day

My second period class was full
of exited third and fourth year Criminal Justice students
But HE was dampening my mood
"come on it's not that bad,"
Natalie chided.
"At least we get the rest of the school day off, aaaannnndddd,"
you're coming to my house tonight."
A girl laughed near us,
and I rolled my eyes.
