The door opened
Dustin stuck his head in,
"Um sorry for interrupting...."
"No no,"
Detective Wilt said.
"I'm about finished, one second please."
Dustin backed out
Detective Wilt looks at her seriously hands clamped on his lap
"Laurel I think you are wonderful young woman, you are hard working, and have great ambition."
He sighed
"I think you'll make a great detective, but you have to realize that when you have this much responsibility, you can't just drop everything to help them."
he said this rather harshly, then his voice softened.
"I hope you take over for me one day."

I opened the door to let Dustin in
as he passed me I felt a burn of anger
and then I decided some thing
I would not rest until I found out what he knew
because he definitely knew something.
I do the rest of my tasks quietly.
Completely ignoring Dustin
Because I know that as soon as I start to talk to him
I'll probably start yelling

Soon Mrs. Warbeck came to collect the students
before she got to us i pull Dustin aside
"i thought you were ignoring me,'
He said arms crossed and eyebrows raised
'Yeah I was, when we where shadowing but now we're done."
i glare back
he uncross his arms an stuck his hands in his pockets leaning back against the wall.
'Fine what?'
"I wanna know what the heck you and that Kylie girl were talking about.'
"Is that really your business?'
"It is when one of her friends interrogate me and try to brain wash me."
Him eyes widen
"What?'
I raised my eyebrow at him
let him ask
"What are you talking about,"
he said begrudgingly
"A few days ago I met some friends of hers they asked me question about some I knew who had died, and in the process practically hypnotized me."
Dustin messaged his temples
Then looked pleadingly at me
"Look I can't explain..... here."
"Then when because you are going to explain."
I say stubbornly.
