Selfish
I waited outside until I couldn’t see the cab that Brianna was in anymore which is also when Tom wrapped his arm around my waist and led me back into the theatre so we could finish watching the movie; not that I’d be concentrating on the movie because I was already worried about my sister and her not being here was only making me more worried.
“Bri is going to be fine love, we all know that she can take care of herself. So please try not to worry too much” Tom said to me softly as we sat down in our seats and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders; he placed a kiss on the side of my head as I pulled my knees up to my chest and held onto our box of popcorn.
“You didn’t see the bruise she had Tom, besides she hasn’t been acting like herself lately and I’m getting worried” I said to him quietly as the movie started again but I was looking at my boyfriend with concern in my eyes; Tom was the most amazing boyfriend ever and he was even more protective of me now as we were dating which I thought was very cute.
“Have a talk with her tomorrow baby, let her know how you feel” He said to me before he leaned closer to me and gave me a soft but loving kiss; I returned the kiss immediately before we both pulled back and faced the screen to watch the movie.
Honestly I had no idea why Brianna and I wanted to see this movie so much because it was a horror movie and we hated horror movies; Tom’s fingers rubbed my shoulder gently as I was practically hiding behind the popcorn box as the movie went on. I knew what was going to happen and I wanted to look away but I just couldn’t; so when the bad guy suddenly grabbed one of the girls from behind I couldn’t help but jump in the seat and let out a small scream.
I rolled my eyes when I heard the guys chuckling to themselves at my scream but I couldn’t help it because I’ve never been a fan of scary movies; I can’t see how the guys could sit here and not get scared by the movie which is totally unfair because we tend to watch scary movies at night, right before we go to bed which is even worse.
“Come here baby, I’m right here for you” Tom whispered into my ear as he gently pulled me closer to him and let me bury my face into his chest every time a scary part came onto the screen; I felt Tom place a soft kiss on the top of my head as he tightened his grip around my waist slightly as I hid from the movie.
The movie soon finished which I for one was grateful for because I did not want to be scared anymore times; Tom walked with me as we all headed over to his car and his arm never left my waist until he had to help me into his car. Gustav and I said our good nights to the guys before we climbed out and walked into the house; we both walked upstairs and checked on a sleeping Brianna before we went to bed ourselves.
Next Day
“Tom calm down please, it’s fine alright. I’m fine so it doesn’t really matter, please don’t go do anything” I said softly to my boyfriend who was now threatening to go see Colin after he yelled at me; when I woke up I took Brianna’s phone from her room to let her sleep in but Colin called so I answered which is when he started yelling at me thinking that I was my sister, so when I told Tom about it he of course wanted to beat Colin’s head in.
“Fine I’ll stay here but only because I don’t want to leave you, but as soon as Brianna wakes up then you tell her exactly what happened and what Colin said okay? Besides he shouldn’t even be yelling at Bri like that” Tom said to me as he placed his hands on my hips and leaned down to kiss the top of my head; after since we started dating for some reason I’d been sleeping and the nightmares had cut back.
“I will, I just wanted her to get some sleep. She’s hiding it but I hear her wake up in the middle of the night or early in the morning, that isn’t normal for her but she’s not talking to me about it” I said as I looked up at him as I rested my hands on his forearms as he rubbed my hips with his thumb; Gustav was a deep sleeper so he didn’t hear Brianna when she wakes up and the only times I don’t hear her is when Tom stays over.
“You need to talk to her about it love, I hate seeing you getting this worried and stressed about this. Once you talk to her then you will feel better, I promise you that Lolo” He reassured me and I knew that I had to sit my sister down for a talk but it was hard right now; she was spending more time with Collin lately which never happened with us when we started dating a guy, we always made sure to have ‘us’ time.
“Where’s my phone Willow? Why would you take my phone out of my room?” Brianna asked me after she had stormed down the stairs with her bag and car keys in her hand; I was taken aback by the tone in her voice which was not like my sister at all and it only made me worry about her more.
“I wanted you to get some sleep so I didn’t want your phone to wake you up, I’m sorry if you had plans. I didn’t know” I said to her softly as I watched her grab her phone off the kitchen table before she sent a small glare my way; she was rushing around the kitchen but she wasn’t moving her body normally which made my alarm bells ring.
“Will was only trying to help you Bri, and you tell that boyfriend of yours that if he yells at Willow again then I will be seeing” Tom said to my sister which caused her to freeze on the stop and look over at us confused but her eyes always held fear; I knew something was wrong with my sister but I just couldn’t put my finger on it yet.
“He called your phone so I answered it Breezy, he started yelling at me because you were late to a special date he had planned and that you would have to pay for something at the date” I told her as I took a few steps towards her and I heard Tom shush the guys that had just walked into the house from the backyard; causing all eyes to be on us which I just ignored because I was only focusing on my sister.
“Well next time you decide to help me with something, then don’t Willow. You have no idea what you’ve just done, sometimes you can be so selfish” Brianna said to me before she walked through the house to the garage and climbed into her car; I on the other hand just stood there in the kitchen staring at the spot that Brianna was just standing in.
“I’m sure she didn’t mean any of it babe, she’s probably just upset. We’ll talk to her when she comes back home” Tom said to me softly as he gently turned me around to face him and pulled me into his arms; sure Brianna and I have had our fair share of arguments but she’s never said anything like that to me before and it hurt.
“I was just trying to help her, I thought I was doing the right thing” I said as tears started to form in my eyes but I managed to somehow keep them from falling; the guys walked over to Tom and I to comfort me as they too were shocked with what just happened.
“We know that Will and so will Bri once she calms down a bit, she was probably just late for something important. Don’t take what she said to heart, she’ll be back here apologizing soon” Gustav reassured me as he kissed the side of my head and I usually always believed what he told me; but for some reason I had a bad feeling and I didn’t know why or what it was for but I wasn’t going to relax until I had my sister back.
