You Cut Me Loose

She was fading. No-one saw her, and her spirit was dying. She felt too much. She could feel the love around her, though not directed at her. She could feel the vicious glares that were.

The abandoned bridge creaked with protest, every step she took. It was as if it knew what she was going to do. What she was going to leave.

Everyone thought of her as cold. Unresponsive. Bitchy. But she wasn't. She was lost in herself. The screams didn't do a thing to help. No-one heard the screams. No-one.

As she climbed, up onto the railing, getting ready to jump, a song played in her head.

She felt tears prick in her eyes.

It’s no cause for concern

She felt sobs wrecking in her chest. Tears flooded her vision as she got down from her position on the railing, as she wrapped her arms around her knees, trying to stop the tears, but they wouldn't stop. The sobs came out in hysterics.

Stuck on the end of this ball and chain

Stood on a bridge, tied to the noose

"Tulia!" A melodic voice called.

She looked up, with tear rimmed eyes. Her eyes widened at the sight.

"Nate?" Her voice wavering slightly in both anger and disbelief.

He caught the sight of her. The full sight of her. He then realized what she had planned to do. He crouched down beside her and simply said,

"time is always on your side" and wrapped his long, warm arms around her as another round of tears started.
