Ring Shopping
-2 weeks later-
I woke up and jumped in the shower, after i showered i got dressed and had some breakfast. A little while later at 12 i got a call from Heidi. She was gonna take Gracie to the park and wanted to know if i wantted to come along. I said i'd love to and she said she'd be over soon. Later when we got to the park Gracie ran off to play on the slide and me and Heidi were sitting on a bench talking.
"So, hows things with Sophie going?" she asked
"Good, reallly good" i said smiling
"Aww thats good" she said
"Yep" i said
"Can you see yourself marrying her?" she asked
"Actually yeah i can. In fact i was thinking about proposing soon" i said, the idea had been going through my head for the last week
"Really?" she said shocked
"Yeah" i said
"When?" she asked
"Well soon i hope, once i get a ring and once i think of a good way to propose. I wanna do somthing romantic" i said
"Aww, well my best friend owns a jewelery shop and she would probably give you a good deal for a ring, as for the proposal, i can help you a little with details but the rest is all you" she said
"Really?" i said and she nodded and started talking to me about the details
We talked for a while about where i'd get the ring and then after talking about some details i figured out the perfect proposal. I decided i'd propose to her on saturday, i had 3 days to get things all set. After we left the park we headed to her friends jewlery shop.
"Hey Danielle" Heidi said as we walked in
"Hey!, hey Gracie" she said
"This is my cousin Alex, Alex this is my friend Danielle" Heidi said
"Hey" i said
"Hey, so what brings you three here today?" Danielle asked
"Actually were here for a engagment ring, Alex is proposing to his girlfriend saturday" Heidi said
"Aww really?, thats sweet" Danielle said
"Yeah" i said
"Well heres some rings tell me if you find one you like i'll be over there" she said
"Thanks" i said and she walked away
"Ooh! what about this one?" Heidi said holding up a gold ring
"No, i think silver would be better" i said
"True" she said
"Mhmm" i said
"Whats her favorite color?" she asked
"Uhmm, no clue, why?" i asked
"Well would she like blue?" she asked
"Probably, why?" i said confused
"Well what about this ring" she said holding up a ring that had a blue diamond with two normal colored diamonds on eachside of the blue one
"Thats perfect" i said
"Hey Danielle i think we've found it" she said
"Really?, ooh thats a pretty one. Its $1500 but since this is my shop and your my best friends cousin you can have it for...$1000" Danielle said
"Alright" i said and she took the ring and went to put it in a box
"Yay! you got the ring!" Heidi said
"Mhmm" i said
"Whats wrong?" she asked
"Nothing, its just that everythings going so fast" i said
"Yeah true, are you excited?" she asked
"A little, anxious more than anything. I really hope she says yes" i said
"Im sure she will" she said
After i got the ring Heidi dropped me off at home. I called Jack and asked if he and Melinda would come over because i needed to tell them somthing. Jack said that they'd be over soon. A little while later there was a knock on the door and then it opened, it was Jack and Melinda.
"Hey dude" Jack said
"Hey" i said
"So what did you wanna tell us?" he asked as he sat down and took a sip of the water he was carrying
"Well, im planning on proposing to Sophie on saturday" i said
"What!?" he said choking on his water
"Yeah, i have the ring and everything. See" i said pulling it out of my pocket
"Woah" he said
"Awww! thats so awesome Alex, shes gonna be so happy" Melinda said
"You think?" i asked
"Deffinetly" she said
