Status: Writing in a notebook, so this gets posted when I get around to typing and editing. I will try to update at least once a week.

Sometimes Silence

Gabriella Fuentes must deal with the death of her adoptive parents, that lovingly accepted her into their home when her biological mother could not take care of her.

She must leave her life in Detroit, Michigan, behind and head to Manhattan New York, New York with her Aunt. Here, she must learn to live with a disorder known as selective mutism. This means Gabriella can speak, but chooses not to in most situations. She is silenced because of one action, a hand gesture that she was given whilst standing over the body of her dying father.
  1. One.
This is a flash-back, I suppose, of the tragedy Gabriella was subjected to at 17 years of age.
