Alexis POV
I sighed and fell onto the couch, David sighed,

“Little advice hunny, guys like to be left alone to sort their problems out on their own. It’s a pride thing.” I nodded but then realised what he said,

“I’m not-“ I started but David cut me off,

“I can see right through you, no point in lying to me.” I sighed, it’s true, no point in lying to him, he could always tell,

“How do you know?” I asked, he shrugged,

“It’s a gay thing.” I rolled my eyes,

“Uh huh.”

After a while, David did have to go home. I sighed as I closed the door, I was just about to go and lay down when,
knock knock

“Who is it?” I called wearily, I swear, I can never get a peaceful day at home,

“It’s the sexiest guy in the world.” I smirked,

“Oh, did you forget something David?” I laughed and opened the door to see Joshua standing in my doorway with a pout on his face,

“So you think that gay dudes hot?” I nodded,

“Most are.” He grinned,

“I have an announcement then.” I raised one eyebrow, “I am now officially gay!” I put on a fake sad face,

“Naw, I was going to ask you out. Oh well.” I shrugged and Joshua pouted again,

“Why do I always lose?” I laughed,

“It’s a curse all Joshua’s have to live with.” He rolled his eyes,

“Good to know I’m not alone.” I sighed,

“Hey, uh, I’m kinda tired, can we speak another time, I still have to cook dinner.” He nodded,

“Alright, but your not cooking.”

“What?” He crossed his arms and looked at me sternly, he looked very…. Fatherly,

“Well, you just said you were tired, I’m not going to let a young lady who lives alone with her little sister cook while you look as tired as you do.” I sighed,

“Please don’t tell me I’m aging.” He laughed,

“Please! To me you’re still the hottest chick on the planet.” I rolled my eyes,

“Whatever. If you’re so desperate to cook for me that you resorted to flattery you can just come in.” He smiled triumphantly,

“Why thank you.” I nodded and went to lie on the couch while Joshua cooked. Next thing I know someone’s shaking me. I squealed and rolled over resulting in me falling on the floor, I groaned and opened my eyes to a hysterically laughing Joshua,

“Y-Your face! P-Pricel-less!” He said between laughs. I scowled and got up, I stormed into the table and sat down. I looked at my plate to see what he made, turns out it was homemade pizza. I licked my lips, I hadn’t realised how hungry I was. I looked up to see Witney sitting at the table; she looked up at me and smiled. I couldn’t take it, I had to tell them both about Sean, Witney was family and Joshua was practically part of the family. I sighed and Joshua sat down,

“Oh no, she’s sighing Witney, there’s gonna be a bombshell!” I rolled my eyes even though he was right,

“Alright, I have something to confess.”

“Told you.” Joshua sang, I pursed my lips out of annoyance but continued anyway,

“There was a guy here before.” Witney nodded,

“That random blondie in the lobby.” Joshua seemed extremely interested now,

“Yea, well.” Witney reached for another slice of pizza, damn she eats fast, “I think I may love him.” Witney froze, her eyes darted to me. I saw something behind them, amusement? I couldn’t tell. I just knew something was there, I didn’t push it though, she would tell me one day. Joshua just grinned,

“Naw! My little Lexi’s growing up!” I smiled and sighed as I felt a small weight lift off my shoulders. It felt good to tell someone.
