I inwardly groaned, great, time to talk to Sean. I let out a frustrated sigh as I stood up, I noticed Maxi give me an amused smirk. I rolled my eyes at him,

“Continue practicing guys.” And with that I stepped outside.

I looked to my right and saw Sean leaning against the wall casually; his eyes flickered to me,

“Hello miss.” I sighed at him,

“Sean-“ I started softly, he cut me off by spinning towards me with a angry look on his face,

“He deserved it! Why are you trying to protect him huh? He got what he deserved! Why am I the one being punished?!” He yelled in frustration, I was taken back by his sudden mood swing but I kept my face calm,

“I’m sorry Sean,” I replied calmly, “but you can’t just go around attacking people.” He crossed his arms like a child and mumbled a soft,

“He had it coming…” I narrowed my eyes, completely forgetting about other students or teachers,

“This is about more than you and your revenge Sean!” I yelled, “This is also about me! I’m the one who got attacked, not you! I’m the teacher so I do the punishing, not you! And right now, I think I’m the more mature one! Not. You.” I hissed, he growled at me,

“It may not be about me, but it isn’t all about you either Alexis! What he did affected both of us! Why are you making this into such a big deal?!” He yelled back,

“Because I want you to have a better life! I don’t want you to be put into jail every time you think ‘oh, hey, there’s that one guy who owes me a dollar, he hasn’t returned it so I’m gonna beat him up’! What would you parents think!?” He looked at the ground,

“They wouldn’t give a shit. They’d be happy if I left.” My anger died a little, what does he mean? Sean seemed to realise what he said, his frustration returned and he spun on his heels, “Talk to me when you’re done being a bitch.” I opened my mouth to say something but he’d already stormed off. I felt tears gather in the corners of my eyes,

“Risky risky. You two should learn to have your fights at home. Not here, that actually made me speechless for a second.” I spun around and saw the Maxi was standing in the doorway, even though his tone was playful his face held a concerned frown, “You alright? Sean can be a bit of a…. dickhead sometimes…” I looked at the ground,

“Oh! H-Hey! Don’t cry!” I heard Maxi exclaim, I heard his footsteps coming towards me, “Ah fuck! That’s it, that son-of-a-bitch’s gonna get it.” I shook my head,

“Ok, so I hate him but I think he did what was right. I would’ve done the same thing if I was in his shoes.” I looked up at Maxi in alarm,

“W-What are you talking about?” He rolled his eyes,

“You know exactly what I’m talking about, look at the note I gave you.” I narrowed my eyes and quickly took out the small piece of paper, my eyes widened at what it said,

I was speechless,

“I also read what Sean wrote so you know.” He continued, I looked up and stuck my tongue out at him, “Now look who’s the mature one.” Maxi teased jokingly,

“I didn’t mean what I said before… what I said to Sean I mean… I was caught up in the moment…” I murmured, Maxi placed his hands on my shoulders,

“You both were. Sean’s temper got the best of him and you snapped, ladies like you are pretty defensive. You’ll snap back at any comment,” Maxi chuckled, “Trust me, you’re like a soft version of Ruth.” I smiled when I thought of my friends. Hm, I need to catch up with them sometime, get them up to date with what’s happening in my life. I looked at Maxi and smiled,

“Thanks Maxi. That was really… kind.” He held up a finger,

“Uh uh, I’m not done yet. You also probably got all angry because you’re on your period.” My jaw dropped, Maxi just grinned at me, “And that’s all the great Maxi has to say. Now get your butt in gear and let’s play some music. It’s turning into a sappy soap opera out here.” I watched as Maxi trotted inside happily. A few seconds later I registered what he said.

I narrowed my eyes and stalked inside,

“Maxi…” I stopped when I noticed the dirty looks the twins were giving me. I rolled my eyes and ignored them, I’ve got more important things to worry about, if it’s important they’ll come and see me after class. I watched everyoneas they all practiced their instruments in their own little groups. But, being me, I only had one person on my mind. Sean. Where was he? Is he truly angry with me? Is he gonna break up with me? And, one question stood out more than the most. Why doesn’t he like talking about his family?
