Phone call
I couldn’t sleep, no matter how much I told myself that I was fine, I knew deep down that I wasn’t. He’s killing me! Doesn’t he know how much I love him? I’d kill for him! Yet he won’t let me see him! If I could just see him for a second, then all these worst-case-scenario thoughts would stop popping into my head!
I let out a frustrated cry as I slammed my door shut. I was angry at Sean for not letting me see him, I was angry at Ben for what he did to me and how that triggered Sean’s temper, but most of all I was angry at myself for letting Sean walk away like he did. If I didn’t let him walk away then he wouldn’t be where he is now.
Before I knew it I was outside the school, and guess who I saw? Yep, Mathew and Blake, they were waiting outside the school door. I growled and stormed out of my car; I slammed the door shut and locked the machine. I started stomping towards the entrance, ignoring the stunned looks that the twins gave me,
“Wow, you look horrible.” Blake commented,
“Well doesn’t that boost my confidence?” I commented sarcastically as I opened the door angrily,
“So, are you going to explain?” Mathew asked bluntly, I bit my lip to stop myself from yelling at him. That would NOT look good in front of other staff members. I didn’t say anything as I stalked down the hallway to my classroom, I quickly unlocked the door and the twins entered after me. I sighed in frustration and closed the door,
“So are you?” Mathew pushed. I closed my eyes and took a calming breath,
“Mathew. Blake. Sean and I… we love each other alright.” I whispered,
“But it’s ille-“ Blake started but I cut him off,
“No Blake, it is not. Sean is coming out of School in less than a month and I’m not a 56 year old pedophile alright! I am 17! He is 18! It’s a year’s difference! Not even that!” I yelled, Blake and Mathews eyes were wide from my sudden outburst. I let out an aggravated cry and sat in my seat, I let tears roll freely down my cheeks, all the emotions that I’ve been feeling lately have finally exploded, and it’s about time to. It was silent for a moment,
“Hey, it’s alright. There’s no need to cry. We were just asking.” Mathew soothed, I sniffed but didn’t look up,
“But… I thought you hated me.” I muttered,
“What? No! We were just hurt that you wouldn’t tell us!” Mathew exclaimed,
“I was just worried because I don’t want you to get in trouble with the law Lexi! It’s not good, we should know.” Blake joked, I giggled and wiped my eyes, I looked up at them both with a smile,
“Well that’s a relief. That’s one thing checked off the list.” Mathew and Blake frowned,
“What do you mean?” Mathew asked,
“What other fucked up things are happening?” Blake asked, I rolled my eyes but looked at the ground sadly,
“Sean was beaten up the other day.” I murmured. Mathew and Blake were silent for a moment,
“Sean was….” Mathew whispered,
“Beaten up?” Blake finished,
“How the fuck did that happen?!” Mathew exclaimed outraged,
“We’ve been trying to mess that mother-fucker up for years!” Blake ranted, I sighed,
“He was stabbed and his arm was broken. He looked really bad.” I sighed and rubbed my temples,
“Well, how is he now?” Blake asked while sitting on a table,
“I don’t know!” I exclaimed angrily, “He’s to stubborn to let me into the room! No matter how much I call and beg the nurses they just keep saying that he doesn’t want to see me!” I growled,
“We’ll talk to him for you.” Mathew stated bluntly, I raised an eyebrow and looked at him to check for any signs that he was joking,
“Yea, we’ll say that we’re family and we really need to see him.” Blake explained,
“It won’t work.” I told him with a sigh,
“Yea it will!” Blake retorted like a small child. I sighed and shook my head,
“I’m sorry Blake but it won’t happen.” I insisted, he pouted but didn’t say anything. I jumped at the sound of my phone ringing; I quickly snapped it open and put the small object to my ear,
“Hello?” I asked,
“Hey! It’s me.” A female voice gushed from the other side of the phone, I cocked an eye brow,
“Um…”
“The nurse from the hospital.”
“Oh! I’m sorry, last time we met I didn’t catch your name.” She sighed,
“My names Leah, ok, now I have great news!” I nodded,
“Alright, talk.”
“Lexi! Put your pants back on!” Mathew shouted into the receiver,
“Lexi! Stop smoking the bong!” Blake shouted, I growled and put my hand over the speaker,
“Shut the hell up! It’s a nurse from the hospital!” I shouted at them, when I spoke those words they immediately shut up, “Thank you…” I muttered as I removed my hand, “Sorry, continue.”
“It’s alright. Anyway, great news! I’ve finally forced Sean to see you!” She exclaimed happily, I just frowned,
“You… forced… him to see me…” I asked quietly,
“Well… yea…. Isn’t that what you wanted? To see him I mean.” She asked confused,
“Well, yea, but… I don’t want him to be unhappy about it… seeing me shouldn’t be a negative experience…”
“I understand completely.” She paused for a moment, “You’re a very selfless person you know that…” I smiled slightly,
“Thanks. Anyway, I’m technically working right now so…” I hinted,
“Oh! I’m sorry. But, uh, would like to do you at least one favor. Do you want to speak to him over the phone?” I grinned,
“That’d be great thanks.” I heard her giggle,
“Young love.” I heard her voice away from the speaker murmur. I just sighed with a smile on my face,
“Is he alright?” Mathew asked, I shooed him away from me,
“I’m just about to talk to him now.” He nodded. In the background of the phone I heard the closing of the door,
“Sean, you have a call.” I heard a muffled voice in the background, “I don’t care. You are going to take this call and I am going to stand here while you talk.” There were more muffled arguments in the background, eventually I heard the noise of the phone being handed over,
“Who is this and what do you want?” Sean snapped into the phone. I swallowed a lump in my throat, he sounded like his old self again, “Hello?” He sung, “Is anybody there?”
“S-Sean? It’s me, Lexi.” I whispered, it went quiet on the other end,
“L-Lexi?”

sorry this took so long, I've been preocupied with another story that isn't posted on this site XD Anyways, she finally patches things up with the twins. I just had to write it, I love them. And she also gets to talk to Sean, you'll have to wait til next chapter to find out what they talk about lolzz.
