We've Got It All Figured Out... For Now

I’m Mrs. Potter! I couldn’t believe it! Well… I could, but… I’m so amazingly happy right now. Our ceremony was beautiful. Todd made me cry with his vows! But a few tears fell from his gorgeous eyes when I said mine. And then we shared this beautiful kiss that I never wanted to end. But after we walked back down the isle together, all I could do was shower him with kisses.

“I love you… I love you… I love you,” I kept telling him after every kiss we shared.

“I love you too, baby,” he smiled through the cutest little chuckle.

All I could do was smile. I’m so in love with this man… and I’m married to him. I never thought I would say that about someone. I’m married! Finally! Nothing could ruin this day right now. After we spend some time with our friends and family, we’re off to Hawaii. I’m excited! I would be excited if we were just going home… as long as my Toddie was there, I’d be totally fine.

As we were getting our pictures taken, Mason came running over to me in his cute little tux. He was so cute. I smiled and bent down to pick him, leaving multiple kisses on his cheek.

“Doesn’t your mommy look pretty, Mase?” Todd smiled with his arms around my waist.

“Uh huh,” he replied with a huge grin.

“Toddie Bear looks handsome though. Doesn’t he?” I smiled, resting my head on Todd’s shoulder.

Mason smiled, but shook his head no, making Todd and I crack up. He’s being really cute right now. He gets that from Tanner. Being cute when there’s a camera around.

“Toddie Bear sad,” Todd pouted.

“You’re happy, daddy,” Mason giggled.

“That I am,” Todd went on to smile, holding on to the two of us tighter.

Pretty soon, Kirstie came running out, screeching about how happy she was for us. Of course our lovely photographer caught all of this. Emma came next, followed by Josh and their little boy.

“Ky’s a Potter now!” Kirstie squealed while hugging Todd and I tightly.

“Yay for being a Potter!” Emma chanted.

“Mommy, how comes I’m not a Potter?” Mason asked with a serious look on his face.

For the first time today, a slight pain shot through my heart. Aw, Masie. I didn’t know what to tell him. I put him down on the ground and bent down with him. He looked at me, waiting for an answer.

“When mommy had you, I thought I was going to marry your daddy, so we gave you his last name, Foust. But mommy and daddy never got married, so your name stayed the same,” I tired to explain to him.

“I want to be a Potter too,” he pouted, tears forming in his eyes.

“I want you to be one too, Mase,” Todd smiled while bending down with us.

“Reawwy?” he asked, looking at Todd with hope in his eyes.

“Really,” Todd grinned.

Mason’s full smile came over him before he jumped into Todd’s arms. I could have cried right now. That little boy loves Todd so much. Even though Todd’s now his step-dad, he sure acts like his real dad. How he should be at least.

This was the only real moment that wasn’t completely happy. Mason seemed happy and that’s all that mattered. I’m sure as happy as I can be. I got my man and my little boy… and maybe some more little ones on the way in future.

The rest of the day, I stayed by Todd. Mason was off playing with all the other little ones. Emma seemed to stick by him. It was cute. I think she has a little crush on him at their young ages. It’s adorable.

“I want to tell you something,” Todd spoke up once we were sitting down.

“I love you too,” I smirked at him.

“It wasn’t that,” he chuckled while taking my hand. “But… I want to adopt Mason,” he went on, bringing his eyes up to mine.

“What?” I asked without thinking.

Did he just say what I thought he did?

“I want to adopt Mason. I want to be his dad,” he went on. “I already started getting the legal stuff going. All I need is you and… I guess Tanner to sign the papers,” he told me.

“You’re serious,” I said, unable to take my eyes off of his.

“Yes,” he chuckled from my reaction. “I love you and him so much,” he said, leaning over to kiss my forehead.

“I could cry right now,” I smiled at him, feeling tears form.

“No. Don’t cry,” he said while pulling his arms around me.

I smiled and left just a few of those happy tears fall. I said it before and I’ll say it again… I couldn’t imagine having a better guy in my life. Not only for me, but for Mason too. Todd makes both of us so happy and it’s just natural. I love him so much and can’t wait to start our life together.
