Suddenly Yours

They walked back to the venue where the guys had played that night and then to the tour bus.
“Is anybody in there?” asked Ellie, she was a little shy
“Hm probably not, don’t worry. We’re not going to eat you” said Michael opening the bus doors and showing Ellie the way
When she entered the first thing she saw was the huge TV screen in the middle of the wall faced to the big brown leather couch with a little table beside it. She stood there waiting for all the boys to enter the bus and then she followed Zach for a tour of the bus. Though there wasn’t much to see, a little fridge and a stove on one side, and lots of shelves filled with all kinds of candy and cheetos. Boy did they like them cheetos.
Then they took her to “bedroom”. It was more like 6 bunks all shoved in the end of the bus
“How do you guys sleep here?” she asked
“It may not seem like it, but it’s actually quite comfortable” said Nathan lifting up one curtain that was meant to cover one of the small beds
“Okay then, who wants to eat something?” asked Michael and Ellie just look at them while they ran over to the “kitchen” and started collecting bags of chips and cookies
“How can you eat? You guys realize we just left the restaurant right?”
“You don’t know us really well, do you? We are always eating” said Michael while stuffing his mouth with Cheetos
Ellie just laughed and looked at them
Nathan gesture for her to seat on the brown couch next to him and so she did
“So what’s next for the Allstar Weekend boys?” she asked
“Well, we’re actually leaving tomorrow to continue the tour”
“Oh” she was sad all of the sudden, which made no sense to her.
Ellie hadn’t really thought about it yet, but she knew they couldn’t stay there with her forever, so why was this upsetting her?
“Will I ever see you guys again?” she asked, with a low voice and looking at the ground
All the boys stopped eating and approached her
“Of course!” said Zach from the other side of the couch
“And we can talk every time we want, you know that’s why they invented cell phones and internet” reassured Nathan
“And we will be back” said Cameron while holding her hand
Everyone in the room questioned that move, including Ellie herself, but no one said anything.
“I’m sure you guys have made many friends on the road, do you keep in touch with them?”
“Actually this is not a daily routine for us, you’re the first “fan” that comes in here and that we can talk to like this”
“Really?”
“Yeah, I don’t know why but we clicked with you” Nathan smiled at her, and that made Ellie feel really special
“Hey Cam, do me a favor. Get me that black guitar” Nathan asked pointing to the wall behind Cameron
He did as Nathan asked and he started playing some random chords
They all started looking at Ellie
“What?” she asked embarrassed
“Tell me a song to play” asked Nathan
“Oh I don’t know, any is fine”
Nathan started playing one of their songs “Here with you” and Zach started singing, later on the song he looked at Ellie as if asking her to sing with him. So she did, a bit shy at first but rising the volume as the song went on. Bit by bit she was more comfortable with that situation and she was letting go. She had her eyes closed and just feeling the music. When Nathan stopped playing, she opened her eyes slowly, as if she was waking up from a beautiful dream and saw that all the boys were looking at her with big smiles on their faces.
She immediately started blushing
“You are great!” said Zach
“Did you ever thought about become a singer, like in a real band?” asked Nathan
“No, never. I’m too shy and awkward for that, who would want me as the lead singer when there are girls like Selena Gomez or Miley Cyrus out there?”
“If you ask me, those girls got nothing on you” said Cameron, winking at her
She blushed again
“Then what do you want to do when you grow up?”
“Oh I don’t know. I try not to think too much about that sort of thing, because I’m just plain confused. I don’t know what do with my life, you know. And that’s kind of scary.”
“Don’t be scared, I’m sure you’ll figure something out real soon”
“I just hope” Ellie smiled
Nathan started playing other songs and they started telling jokes
“Hey you know what you guys could cover?”
“What?” asked Zach
“Any song by Justin Bieber”
“What?”
“Yeah, maybe the song “Baby”! You know that one… Nathan could play, Zach sings, and Cameron or Michael could do the rap. You guys could record it and put it on your YouTube page. I’m sure your fans would go crazy!” said Ellie super excited
“I think you’re the one who’s crazy. Are you a fan of Justin Bieber?”
“Well, not really, but I do like that song. It was just an idea, you guys don’t have to do it!”
“We’ll think about it, we don’t do a cover in a while, now” said Cameron
And then they got back to telling jokes and stupid stories.
They were having too much fun and didn’t realize that it was getting really late, actually they just fell asleep right there on the couch. First Ellie, who fell asleep on Cameron’s lap. Then Cameron, later Zach, Nathan and finally Michael.
