Blue Moon

Anew: PART 2 of Blue Moon

Emily's POV

I woke with a start. It was a feeling off coming up for air while you were underwater. I blinked repeatedly, clearing my eyes. I was confused, but I knew very well what was going on.

As soon as I could I took in my surroundings. I was in the middle of a field.

I have no idea where I was.

I heard someone grunt loudly a few feet away form me,”Eliza?” I asked.

“Emily? Where are we?” she asked confused. She sat up holding her head.

I almost started to cry, she was alive; not just alive, healthy too.

I got up and almost tackled her to the ground in a bone crushing huge. “Oh Eliza! You're alive.”

“Yes, of course. Why wouldn't I be?” she said patting my back apprehensively.

I released her, “You don't remember do you?” I then took my first look at her. I tried my hardest not to flinch at the nasty but smooth scar that made its way down her face and just a slither under her jaw.

“Why are you looking at me like I just had my head chopped off?” she said feeling her hair.

“Eliza you remember what happened didn't you?” I asked slowly.
“Yes, we were being transported and Will-he's dead.” she said suddenly sad. “But then all I remember after that is that there was a lot of blood, everything hurt, and then I just passed out it seemed. Now her I am in the middle of some field with you. For some reason though, I feel like there's a reason why were here.”

“Eliza Will is alive, he somehow woke up right after you died. Madame Gould appeared and the three of us struck a deal. She said you would know everything when you woke up. You're confused though.” I explained.

“I was dead? Jesus! I just thought I passed out.” she panicked.

“You're fine now. You have your strength back, everything. But I suppose you don't know about your..face,” I tried putting delicately.

“My face?” she asked immediately reaching up. Her fingers froze on the three claw marks that scared her. “Well, I must be a sight to see now,” she said lightly as she felt it.

“It really isn't too bad,” I lied. “But you do know what's going on right?”

“Yes, Will doesn't remember me. I have one year to make him love me again, if not, I go to the supernatural realm.”

“Exactly.” I agreed.

“What's the date? Where are we? Do you know anything?” Elizabeth asked, standing up and stretching. Her face contorted a little because even though her strength and health was back, her shoulder still is messed completely up.

“I guess all we could do is start walking,” I suggested.

“I suppose so. Let's just hope we aren't to far from a town.” Elizabeth commented.

We both started walking, hoping that this isn't easier said than done.

Will POV

I woke up tiredly, not remembering how I even got in bed last night at all. I looked around.

I felt like something was different, but I shrugged it off.

I got up and went downstairs for breakfast and the daily newspaper.

When my Uncle passed, he left all his company, assets, and money to me. So I'm in charge of everything. It's a little overwhelming, but it's nice to carry on my Uncles work.

I know for a fact he wasn't just a businessman, he was also a philanthropist. He gave to orphanages, hospitals, and those in poverty.

It's just sad that it was a heart attack that took him.

I went downstairs and saw breakfast was set on the table, the paper next to my plate.

“Thank you,” I told the housemaid. She smiled nicely at me and exited the room.

I looked at the date on the paper, 1897, almost exactly seven years since my Uncles passing.

The business is booming however, it was hard to keep up with at first. Getting the hang of things was the hardest.

Nothing was unusual, everything is just as it should be.

For some reason this morning, something just didn't seem quite right.

I heard a light knock on the front door. I saw the housemaid walking to get it but I stopped her. She already does to much.

I opened the door to see something I knew wasn't missing from my life. She made it almost complete.

“Morning Will,” she said sweetly before pecking me on the cheek.

All I could do was smile at her. I was going to marry this girl one day.

Elizabeth POV

We've been walking for what seemed hours. My feet were killing me and on top of that, I smelled.

I needed a bath of some sort.

“I see something,” Emily said after a hanging silence.

I squinted,”I see it too. It looks like a town.”

We started walking faster and faster until we came up to a town, it looked familiar. “Emily do you know where we are?”

She wrinkled her nose,”It seems to me that were on the other side of town. If we keep walking, it'll be about thirty minutes to Mr. Donner's house.”

I sighed,”I suppose that's the only place we have to go now.”

She nodded and started weaving her way through the crowd of people. I was afraid someone would recognize me but all I got was some stares at my face, for obvious reasons.

A women bump into me on accident, she turned around to apologize before she saw the scar on my face. She turned her lip up in disgust before quickly walking away.

The scar is going to cause problems.

“Don't mind them,” Emily told me, noticing that I stopped to stare after the women.

“It's just annoying that's all.” I said quietly.

I saw a sympathetic look cross her face but she turned and started walking again before she stopped shortly. “Look its a newspaper.”

She picked it up and skimmed the for a date of some kind. Eventually her eyes widened in shock.

“What? What year is it? Oh god is it like years and years later and we're just really out dated?” I asked frantically.

“No it's just been seven years Eliza,” she said looking at me.

“Seven? It's not to bad but we don't know what's happened or what's changed.” I said realizing all that I could have missed out on.

Emily put the paper back down,”At least we know what year we're in. We just have to find Will now.”

I swallowed nervously,”What if he hates me like he did when we first met, the first time?”

She smiled,”I'm sure he'll love you the moment he sees you.”

I nodded and started walking again. I just wished I looked better for when he first saw me.

“Now when we get there, he'll remember me,” started Emily. “He won't remember you, so I'll just introduce you as a cousin. I'll say after Mr. Donner died, I went searching for a new job and ended up going back home until now. I'm in town visiting and you're just with me.”

“Sounds good to me,” I agreed.

We were coming up to familiar area and I started to get nervous.

Why am I so nervous? It's just Will.

I saw the road leading to Mr. Donner's. So many memories flooded my head.

I just realized how hard it's going to be not to act like I don't know Will.

“Emily this is going to be impossible. How can I act like I don't know him, he's going to think I'm a creep for letting something slip.” I started panicking.

“Eliza, just get yourself in check. You've battled a crazy mom, a curse, and got Will to fall in love with you, all at the same time. If you can it once, you sure as hell can do it again. Especially if you two are meant to be together.” she said holding my shoulders.

I let out a sigh,”You're right. I'm being irrational. I mean what's the worse that could happen?”

We came up to Mr. Donner's and stepped up to the door.

I looked over at Emily, she knocked on the door.

The door swung open to reveal Will.

I can't do this.

“Emily? By god, is that really you?” he asked happily, stepping forward and hugging her.

“I hope I'm not intruding, it's been years I know.” Emily said conversationally.

“Not at all, I almost never get visitors anymore. Who's this?” he asked looking at me. His eyes didn't even linger on the scar thankfully.

'Act natural'

“Elizabeth, it's so nice to meet you. Emily has told me so much about working at Mr. Donner's. I feel as if I know you already,” I said shaking his hand politely.

He cracked a smile,”Are you related?”
“Yes,” Emily butted in,”she's my second cousin. We're traveling through the state down to my Grandmother's for the upcoming season.”

“That's great,” Will started.

I smiled brightly, maybe this won't be as bad as I thought.

“Will?” I heard an unfamiliar voice ask. “Who's at the door?”

I saw a beautiful, tall blond head girl, around my age, walk up next to Will.

Maybe she's just a neighbor or friend.

“Oh Lucy! This is Emily and her cousin Elizabeth. Emily and I have been friends for years now.” Will said. He slid his arm around her waist. Her eyes locked with my scar for just a split second before she smiled at us.

My heart dropped straight through me and shot to hell.

What the hell is going on? This isn't part of the deal.

“That's lovely! You must come in so we can get better acquainted,” Lucy said friendly.

“Yes! Of course, we would love to,” Emily said joyfully, shooting me a worried side glance.

“Lucy and I have been courting for sometime now. I'm glad I can finally show her off to someone now,” Will said lightly.

“Congratulations, that's great. She sure is something,” Emily said but I knew the double meaning.

I followed behind them all, trying to get control of my nerves. I just can't handle this.

First he dies, then I have an actual shot at normalcy with him and he's taken.

Maybe Madame Gould messed up, maybe Will isn't the one. How could he? The longest we were together was a couple of days before he had to run off.

“I'm sorry to interrupt but Emily if I would of known we were going to be here longer than expected, I would have canceled my prior plans.” I looked at Emily, hoping she would get the hint that I couldn't handle this. Not now.

“Oh yes! It completely slipped my mind!” she played along. “I'll just catch up with you later near the market.

I nodded at her,”Perfect.” I turned to look at Will and Lucy, “I'm so sorry Will, Lucy, but I'm afraid I'll have to reschedule.” I apologized.

“Oh no worries, I get it. I'm use to this one running off all the time for business,” Lucy joked, nudging Will playfully.

Please just kill me now.

I laughed as real as I could,”Thank goodness then!”

“I'll be sure to make plans with you soon,” Lucy said walking me over to the door.

I opened the door,“Of course. I'm looking forward to it.”

“Good day Elizabeth.”

“Good day Lucy,” I waved before walking out.

As soon as I was alone, tears started steaming down my face, I wrapped my arms around myself.

The supernatural realm sounded pretty good right about now.

Since I'm not doing a sequel, I've decided to split this into two parts. I don't exactly how much more of this story I'm doing. I didn't think I would make it over twenty chapters but here I am. So basically, it's like a sequel but not a sequel, just a part two. Okay?

Also, I just want to clarify in case there might be some confusion with how Will has a girlfriend now, is that he literally feels like he's living life normally. He's not confused with what's going on around him. This is how his life would of been if he and Elizabeth were never together or never met. So basically he would be with Lucy.

I also apologize for all the POV's, I couldn't help it...

Any confusion or questions, don't hesitate to ask.
