Behind the Façade

Carson Lewis and her blinded younger sister Brianna live under the cruel watch of their alcoholic father. He blames them for everything, from their mother leaving to getting fired from his latest job. Every night, the smell of liquor fresh in his breath, he beats them, threatening to kill them if this horrible secret was ever told. The only thing that keeps Carson going is Brianna. Even for such a small, hurt child - physically and emotionally - her bravery inspires Carson to keep going.

And then he comes along, toppling the already unstable balance of Carson's life...
