The Downfall of Us All
Arielle
"Please keep him away from me" Tom chuckled at my request. I was being
dead serious though. The feeling that filled me when I was around
Oliver scared me, a lot.
"So today were going to make a list of the things you know and are use
to, and then a list of things that you need to know in order to grow
up on the inside." I nodded, showing him that I understood.
Tom and the other doctors had filled me in on my condition before I
was dismissed from the hospital and admitted into Tom's care.
"Alright, well I'm going to go get my laptop. I'll be right back."
"Okay." I spoke softly and smiled, returning the one he shot me.
I flopped back on his bed and placed my hands straight up above my
head. Closing my eyes and allowing my thoughts to wander. I thought
about all the things that I did before my coma. Placing my index and
middle fingers on my temples, rubbing, urging they memories to come
back but none of the past ten years of my life showed itself.
Maybe because you were in bed for all of it.
I remember that my I had a brother and a mum, and the last thing I
could remember was being at a concert, surfing the crowd, and then
falling. That was it.
I sat up as Tom reentered his room holding his laptop that had a
sticker of a cat with it's brains falling out on it.
"What's that?" I asked, pointing to it.
"What, this?" He turned his MacBook around and looked at the sticker
too.
"Yeah"
"Oh, it's one of Oli's designs, from his clothing company." He shrugged.
"Oh, it's kinda cool."
"You think so? I can get you some clothes from it if you like?"
"Okay." I said, smiling.
"Alright so let's get down to business." Tom started, "What do you
remember?"
"Well..."
