Make Me Wanna Die

Every ten years the board of vampire’s would select an important family in the vampiric

society to host the blood feast. This year’s family was to be the Von Wendonberg family;

while they weren’t new to hosting the blood feast (previously hosting one in the 1920’s and

one in 2000) Vincent and Cordelia decided to leave the blood feast in the hands of their two

sons James Alexander & William Sebastian. Being that the time was approaching them to

decide on a mate, Vincent and Cordelia thought this was a perfect opportunity for them to

prove there maturity.

For the second time that night James checked his list to make sure everything was going

according to plan. Someone had to make sure everything went smoothly; his idiot brother

was who knows where probably with some girl breaking regulations for the blood feast. In

exactly half an hour the lights would go out leaving only the vampires to see their prey. This

party was like leading sheep to the slaughter and they came willingly. He looked up from his

list and noticed a girl stand at the bar.

“Which was odd because this was a building full of people and to look up and notice

someone from across the room like that was strange?”

She didn’t look like she belonged here, I mean it didn’t really matter who was here but she

just looked out of place amongst the rest of the people here. She leaned against the

counter of the bar and downed her drink her long curly black hair falling behind her exposing

the curve of her neck. She stared at the bottom of the glass for a moment and then looked

up. Her eyes met mine and for a moment I just stared her chocolate brown eyes. For a

moment she just looked to both sides of her and then smiled at me, I started to move

toward her but the crowd closed. Just when the night was semi-looking up, I pushed my

way through the throng of people which wasn’t hard. When I got to the bar she was gone,

just like a mirage.

“Bartender did you see a girl standing here just a second ago long curly black hair”

“Yeah she walked toward the right”, he said pointing.

“Thanks.”

I made my way to the direction he pointed out, she couldn’t have gotten far.

“Where are you off to in such a hurry?”

The sound of my brothers’ voice broke all thoughts about the girl. Why do you care?

I don’t but you’ve done nothing but look at that list of yours the whole night, and know here

you are looking flustered.

“Continue to not care I have other things to take care of,” I said walking away.

Don’t be like that I came to help you out.

Thanks but no thanks you’ve done nothing up until now, so you can just keep doing exactly

that. “Oh I see it’s a girl,” he said matching my steps. Carry on brother I’ll leave you be.

“But do introduce us when you find her I’m looking forward to meeting her,” he said his

fangs showing slightly.

It didn’t matter now she could be anywhere in here now.

He ran his fingers through his hair frustrated, and looked back at his list only half an hour

more before blood feast began; probably the only time he had to find that girl again.

He started making his way through the crowd again when he finally spotted her heading out

the door with a girl he hadn’t seen before. He made his way toward the door following the

back of her head as she made her way down the hill to the blue mini cooper. The only good

thing about this is that I’ll get to see her again he thought silently to himself.

He watched them drive off until he couldn’t see them anymore eager to get this over with he

went in and started the blood feast ten minutes ahead of schedule.

The lights went out and there was a collective little scream mainly from the girls, the music

stopped. The atmosphere in the room changed to something more predatorily. With a fierce

cry from the vampires that gathered they attacked. Tomorrows headlines would read

Tragic Fire Kills Over A Hundred People.
