Nightmares
"Snow, it was a nightmare. You're ok. No ones gunna hurt you." cooed my friend and cousin, Nora.
I sobbed into her chest, ruining another of her shirts. 'Sorry’ I signed, changing my expression into one of embarrassment.
She smiled softly at me and hugged my tighter.
"You OK now?" I nodded and curled back under the warm covers. She smoothed them and padded back to her own room across the hall. After a few minutes, I still couldn't fall asleep.
When I closed my eyes all I could see was it. I frowned and pulled back the covers, walking into Nora's room. Gently, I shook her awake.
‹‹Please?›› I asked, my face now questioning. She nodded and scooted over to the inside of her bed, pulling the covers back for me.
I crawled in and curled into her side. "Night." she whispered tiredly before my eyes closed and I fell into a dreamless sleep.
