Red Snow
Wake up
"Snow had a nightmare, but he went back to sleep pretty fast." Nora mumbled through a mouthful of pancake.
I looked down at my plate and rubbed a scar on my forearm. Aunt Linda sighed and then told us to hurry and eat our pancakes quickly so we could get ready for school on time.
I finished first and ran to the bathroom, successfully getting there before everyone else. I took time and straightened my almost white hair, then went back to my room and picked out clothes for the day.
I ended up with lime green skinny jeans, an over sized sweater and my ratty black and gray DCs.
I put on a light amount of eyeliner, and then grabbed my backpack and my favorite beanie. I made it downstairs before either Nora or Lisbeth were ready.
Zander and Sandra were already waiting for us, each eating one of Aunt Linda's pancakes. I waved while Sandra shoved the rest of her pancake in her mouth.
Then she ran over and gave me a hug. I smiled at her and gave Zander a hug too. He laughed quietly and I blushed, shaking my hair into my face.
There wasn't much I could do to hide some of my scars, but we lived in a school district with a fairly tiny high school, with only consisting of around 1,000 kids total. Since it was fairly tiny, everyone knew not to ask about them.
Of course there were always those few who teased me about them. I had every class with either Nora or Lisbeth for that reason.
Finally the twins came running down the stairs and we all hurried to Zander's tiny car.
