The Past Hurts

I rode with Alice and Jasper again. Jacob rode in with Reneesme, Edward, and Bella. I sat in the back once again while Jasper sat in the front beside Alice. I couldn't help but stare up at the two of them. They were so beautiful, how could I not tell they were vampires?

"Stop being so calm." I heard Jasper growl.

"What?" I asked snapping out of my thoughts.

"I said stop being so calm. You just found out that I'm a vampire and you should be freaking out."

"I-I'm sorry?" I asked unsure.

"No your not." He sighed shaking his head.

"Then what am I supposed to feel?"

"Anger, hatred, scared. Something, anything, but calm!" He turned around and glared at me.

"I can't." I shrugged. It was true. I tried to feel scared, but I can't. All I feel is trust towards them, especially Jasper.

"Jasper, she's like Bella." Alice said calmly.

"That's the bad thing Alice." He turned back around and stared ahead of him as we pulled onto a dirt road leading into the forest. A second later we pulled up to the giant house.

"Wow." I breathed looking up at the house.

"Come on. Everyone's waiting." Alice said. I followed Jasper and Alice inside the house. Just like Alice had said, everybody was waiting inside, including two older 'adults' that I assumed were mr. and mrs. Cullen.

"Trinity, hi. I'm Esme Cullen." The lady smiled at me. I couldn't help but notice she too was extremely pretty. She couldn't be more than 20.

"And I'm Carlise." The guy also smiled at me. They were both amazingly beautiful and I knew they too were vampires.

"It's nice to meet you both." I smiled back.

"You too. We've heard so much about you." Esme said.

"You have?" I asked confused.

"Mostly from Jasper." Edward smirked at Jasper. Jasper sent him a death glare.

"The others tell us that you've found out about our secret?" Carlisle asked.

"Uh.. yea." I nodded my head.

"Jasper told you?" I looked at Jasper before turning back to Carlisle and shaking my head.

"I-I sort of found out on my own." I said.

"Really? How was that?" He asked confused.

"I saw a vision." I whispered quietly. Heres where they laugh at me and tell me that I'm weird and never talk to me again. I closed my eyes and waited for the laughter, and it came. Except, that it was one person and it was more of a bitter laugh. I looked my eyes and saw Edward smirking at me.

"We're vampires, and you think you're weird?" Edward asked before letting out another bitter laugh and shaking his head. Bella gave me a small smile.

"H-how'd you know what I was thinking?" I asked.

"There are some vampires that have special powers. Edward can read minds, Jasper can manipulate feelings, Bella can shield her mind, Renesme can show you what she saw, but touching you, and Alice can see into the future. Other vampires like myself, Esme, Rosalie, and Emmett, don't have any special powers." Carlisle explained.

"Really?" I asked, maybe I wasn't as weird as I thought.

"What did you mean by you saw a vision?" Alice asked me.

"Well... I have this thing where if I look at somebody, I can see a tragic event in their past. It only happens once per person. At first I didn't see anything with you guys, and I was starting to wonder why, but then Jasper grabbed my arm today to stop me from leaving, and I got this vision of him in a field talking to three women. I saw him get bit by one. I realized she was a vampire, and that's how I found out." I said.

"This is so great! Now we don't have to hide anything from you!" Alice squealed hugging me. A second later I heard a door slam. I pulled away from Alice and looked around and saw that Jasper wasn't in the room.

"Where's Jasper?" I asked.

"He's a bit mad right now. He went to his room." Edward said.

"Can I go talk to him?" I asked.

"Sure. I'll show you his room." Rosalie said. I smiled at her and followed her up the stairs and to his room. Rosalie seemed different now.

"Are you ok Rose?" I asked her.

"Just... promise me, you'll be careful around us. We are vampires and you're acting like Bella did. She was human when she found out and you can look how she turned out. I use to hate her because she wanted to be a vampire. Just please be careful." She said.

"I will." I smiled at her. She pulled me into a hug before letting me go and disappearing. I turned around and knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal Jasper standing in the door way.

"Can I come in?" I asked.

"Sure." He mumbled stepping aside. I stepped inside and turned toward him.

"Jasper are you ok?" I asked him once he closed the door again.

"This is why I wanted you to sit with Cain. He's not a vampire. I don't want you to get hurt. I didn't even want you to find out. When Bella found out, she almost died. Her and Renesmee."

"Renesmee is her daughter?" I asked.

"Yea. But Bella was human when she had her, so Renesmee is a hybrid. Jacob is a werewolf too." He sighed.

"Jasper, I'll be fine."

"No you won't. The volturi will find out that you know and they'll either kill you or I'll have to change you, and I don't want either one of those!" He yelled frustrated.

"They won't find out." I shook my head.

"Even if they didn't, it's still a risk for you! You don't know how much, your blood calls to me. Every time I'm around you I just want to kill you." He sighed defetedly.

"But you haven't."

"That's because I don't want to lose you. But even a small paper cut can set me in a frenzy. On Bella's 18 birthday she cut her finger on the wrapping paper and I almost killed her myself. It Emmett hadn't been there to hold me back, Renesmee and Bella wouldn't be here. It's dangerous to be around me. I would never forgive myself if you got hurt because of me."

"I know you wouldn't hurt me." I said taking a step closer to him.

"How do you know that?" He rolled his eyes.

"Because I trust you. I were going to hurt me, you would have already and I don't have a single scratch on me because of you." I stepped up so I was right in front of him. He stared down at me.

"You are extremely stupid then." He said looking into my eyes. I stared back in his golden eyes.

"I guess I am then. You're not gettiing rid of me that easily." I whispered before leaning up and placing my lips on his.
