With A Heart So Cold
..
I remember the day I met Eric Greenslade.
It was that horrible day in the holidays that never seemed to end, with the towns peoples useless blabber and a pain in the ass climate that froze your fingers.
He came into the diner, bringing the cold with him.
He was wearing a red beanie and he had a one of those key chains that you made when you were 7 hanging off of his jeans.
Weirdo
He ordered a black coffee.
When he looked up, he had these brown eyes, that... I don't even know how to describe it, but they warmed me from the winter chill.
He smiled.
I didn't smile back. I hated the way his smile gave me goosebumps.
My shift ended.
I left.
I never ever wanted to see the boy with the keychain again.
But then again, you never get what you want, do you?
