She had these eyes. They were the colour of a clear summers days sky. Something you just don't see around here.
She had her t-shirt on inside out, and her apron had flour splattered across it.
She took my order, and refused to smile back at me.

She brought it to me, and when I was going to ask her name, she left. Simply threw her apron on the counter and stomped her way out into the snow, in an inside out t-shirt, jean shorts and no shoes.
I had to know her.
And the way things were going for me, I would.
