Listen to Your Heart

"Ohhhhh my God yes," I could not control my excitement. This man was going to be the death of me.
"Thank the fuck God, I was so nervous. I swear I was about to start crying," he said with the biggest smile on his face.
"How the hell am I going to be able to compete with this. I may as well just give mine to you now though it is a bit of a let down compared to this." I replied with a hint of sadness in my voice.
"I am sure whatever it is I will love it because you got it for me. Now hand it over, I am starting to get a little impatient." I had to laugh at his comment as I turned around to reach for his present.
"I really hope you like this cause it has traveled a very long way to get here." I said as I handed over the present. I nervously stood there as he teared the wrapping away.
"My God Haley this is amazing, how did you get all of these here?" Jake asked as he looked up from the album.
"I got Steph to send them all over and then while you were at work I put them all together in a scrapbook. Do you like it?"
"Of course I do Haley, I can't believe that you did all this for me. I love you so much baby. Thank you, thank you, thank you." Jake said before grabbing my face and planting a lingering kiss on my lips.
"You are so welcome baby. I love you so much and you are so worth all the time that it took to put all of this together." I replied with the biggest smile on my face.

The rest of the night was spent talking, dancing, eating and kissing. When we arrived home we went straight to our room where we laid on our bed cuddling. I couldn't help but giggle when Jake would kiss my neck or whisper sweet nothings in my ear.

This is how love should be, pure and easy. You shouldn't have to think about it, it comes naturally and that is how it was between Jake and I. It probably helped that we were best friends before any of this happened but what ever it was that made us work so well together I am sure glad I found it.

Fast forward two years....

"Jake can you grab Nick for me while I finish packing." I yelled down the hall.
"Yeah sure babe just don't lift anything to heavy we don't want our little princess to get hurt now do we." Jake said now popping his head into our now box filled room.
"I won't. I can't wait to move into the new house. I also can't wait for this big girl to get out of me. The last month with Nick was the same. Why do I have to give birth to baby giants.' I replied in an almost desperate voice.
"That my dear is because you married a giant and decided to have his children. Not that I am that huge but, well, it does run in the family." Jake smirked whilst wrapping his arms around my now very large waist.
"Well wasn't that a big mistake. Now I will just have to continue having abnormally large babies until I die." I laughed back.
"I would be ok with that, unlimited sex for the rest of my life. Sign me up for that." Jake replied slowly making his way out of the room. I picked up the nearest object, a pillow, and threw it in his direction. I couldn't help but smile at how my life had turned out. Not even 6 months after giving me the promise ring did Jake replace it with an engagement ring. We didn't want a large wedding so we told our family and close friends to get their asses over to the States so that we could get married. Within 3 months of being engaged we were married and within 2 weeks of being married we were pregnant with our first child. Nick was defiantly not planned but my god was he worth all the pain that I had to go through. He was a beautiful baby. Looked just like his father. With in a couple of months for Nick being born I once again got pregnant. I was like some kind of baby machine. This time it is a beautiful baby girl. At this point in time we are currently packing our house as there are not enough rooms for all four of us. The new house has four bedrooms one for Jake and I, one for Nick, one for our little girl and another as a spare or any other little surprises that decide to pop out of me.
