Into Your Arms

FIVE

Jasey Rae Scott always told herself that she had a pretty messed up life. Her mother hated her, her father was completely out of her life, she was used shamelessly, and she rarely saw her best friends anymore because it hurt too much. That killed her. She desperately wanted to talk to the boys she had fallen in love with the day she met them. She missed them terribly, and they her. Some days, Jasey just wanted to stop her life and career completely and just tour all over the country with the boys she considered family. She just wanted a non-hectic life sometimes.

Sure, people would kill for the life she had. Not because of the family issues, but the fact that she's on a major league baseball team that was in the World Series of 2005. Anyone would murder to be able to obtain that talent. That was one thing Jasey liked about herself: she was damn good at what she loved.

She didn't have that bad of a life. Her brother Jake was her rock in all her bad situations, always there to pick her up when she fell or stumbled. she loved him dearly for that, even if she didn't show it enough sometimes. She had an adorable dog that she was in love with, not caring if people made fun of her for it. She had over twenty guys that she considered her family and loved them all dearly. She knew that they all had her back in tough situations. They were like big brothers to her, really. She talked to her two best friend's regularly, unbeknownst to the other two best friends she left back home. She didn't like going behind their backs, but Jasey wanted to know what was going on in all their lives and how their career was going. And, she had a boyfriend that absolutely adored her and she him.

"Jase, you look stunningly beautiful." Destery smiled his perfect smile at his girlfriend, his bright white and straight teeth sparkling in the dim light. Minnie blushed as red as a tomato in reply, her stomach filling with butterflies at his smile. She absolutely adored his smile.

"Thanks." The girl breathed out, leaning over and kissing him softly on the lips. "You look great yourself." And he did. Actually, Minnie thought he looked rather sexy. His usual dark washed skinny jeans were replayed with black skinny jeans that were loose, but still looked formal, and his torso sported a white button down shirt with a gray vest and black tie. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, and his feet held all black Converse. His shoes made Jasey remind her of Alex for a second, but she quickly cursed herself for thinking such a thing and pushed it to the back of her mind. This wasn't a time to be thinking about him at all.

Jasey looked down at herself self-consciously. She was wearing a tighter black dress that was a little above mid-thigh. Smooth silk was covered by black lace, and the cut was straight across just above her breasts. To Destery, she looked beautiful.

"Thanks." Destery smiled, grabbing his girl's hand before walking out the door. The two had decided to go on a small date since they haven't had the chance to in a long while because Jasey had been playing games nearly every night. Destery never minded though; he knew the price of being together with a girl who was gone a good portion of the year. He didn't mind it one bit, either, for he knew that Jasey loved her career.

"So, where are we going?" Jasey asked as a few minutes of walking. The two were in a town they had never been at before, and Jasey was a little worried that Destery was going to lead her the wrong way and they would get lost. But, unbeknownst to her, Destery knew exactly where he was going.

The boy smiled. "Well, I figured we could go to a club. Then, I could date-rape you, have steamy hot sex with you all night, then do it all over again tomorrow night." Destery joked, trying to stifle the smile that was slowly creeping on his lips. It was occasional that the two joked about this.

Jasey shrugged, a small smile on her face as well. She knew he was only joking. "Okay, sounds good. Just make sure it's after ten tomorrow. I have a pretty important game that night."

Destery laughed loudly, squeezing his girlfriend's hand a little. "Glad to know you're so open about being date-raped."

"Nah, it's not the date-rape I'm so open about. Sure, I'm a little leery on it, but it's the steamy hot sex I'm open about." Jasey silently thanked that no one was around to hear their conversation. She was glad this town was small, and there weren't any paparazzi to bug her tonight. It was a rarity that she and her boyfriend got a night alone.

Destery laughed again, wrapping his arm around the girl's tiny waist. "Good. I was hoping you'd be so open about that. Maybe this date won't be such a waste of time."

Jasey laughed, stopping her boyfriend and wrapping her arms around his neck. Destery quickly put his hands on either side of her waist. Soon, their lips were connected in a sweet kiss. Jasey loved kissing him; he was so careful not to make a wrong move seeing as he knew her past.

"Maybe we'll just skip the club and drugs, get to the sex instead." Destery smiled, his soft lips placing light butterfly kisses on the girl's neck.

She laughed softly, a hand running through his long brown hair. She adored his hair; she thought it was perfect. It was very soft, and had a few shorter layers on top of longer ones as it swooped to the left just above his eyes. His eyes she loved also; they were a deep, deep brown that reminded her of dark chocolate. And his smile was to die for. "Mm...I think I'm pretty hungry actually. I feel like dancin' tonight."

Destery chuckled, grabbing the girl's hand and pulling her along. "That's a shame, my dear, because I have dinner reservations that we're going to be late to if we don't get a move on."

Jasey smiled. "Ooh, reservations; fancy, Des. To what do I owe this pleasure?"

The boy smiled, opening the door for her. She thanked him softly before stepping inside. The two were quickly seated, the waiters and waitresses quickly recognizing the famous girl. Minding their jobs, they didn't bombard her with questions and autographs...until later.

Jasey and Destery had a nice evening. Their food was delicious, and Jasey always feels so comfortable with her boyfriend, and he her, that there weren't any awkward silences or conversations. After fighting on who was paying (and Destery winning), the two had decided to walk around the town for a little while before Jasey's curfew was up. Yes, even though she was making millions of dollars a year, she still had a curfew to follow. One, because the coaches and owners didn't want anything to happen to her, and two, they wanted her to be ready for the next game. Jasey was fine with having a curfew; it made her feel like she was a real human still, and not just some overexposed celebrity.

"I'm so nervous for tomorrow." Jasey confessed, a rush of nerves running through her body. Tomorrow was her biggest day of her career. She either won the World Series for her team, or they had to play another game. Everything was on her tomorrow. How could one not be nervous?

Destery chuckled and gave her hand a light squeeze. "I don't doubt it. Seems like the whole fan base is counting on you to win the Series for them." The boy stopped his girlfriend and grabbed her other hand, all the while resting his forehead on hers. "Jasey, no matter what happens tomorrow, I will always be proud of you."

Jasey's heart warmed, her eyes forming small tears in the corners of her eyes. Only a few times in her life has she ever heard someone say to her that they were proud of her. And to hear it from someone she knew who meant it, meant the world to her. "Thank you so much, Destery. For everything. I don't know how I would have gotten through this year without you."

Destery answered by placing a long kiss on the girl's lips, holding her as close as possible. They had been together for a few months now, and unbeknownst to Jasey, the boy couldn't help but start to fall in love with the girl he was kissing. He held this girl very dear and near to his heart, and he prayed that she would feel the same way back. But, alas, he knew her past, and doubted she'd ever fall in love again. To be honest, he wanted to kill the person that had broken her. Because if it wasn't for the boy, she'd be able to love Destery back. After pulling away from the kiss they shared, Destery cupped Jasey's cheek and rubbed his thumb softly along her cheek a few tomes. "Jasey, you mean so much to me; you don't know how much."

Jasey smiled softly, her head leaning into his hand a little like a dog would when its ear was being rubbed. Though she didn't know how much, she knew Destery had liked her a lot. She liked Destery a lot, too, in fact. But she couldn't bring herself to love anymore. Yes, to even her it sounded childish for giving up on love after some measly boy from a hardly-known town broke her heart. But to her, it was much more than those few months that she decided to just give up on the concept of love. Her parents had never loved her like they loved her younger brother, and her father absolutely despised her when she grew up, her mother blaming her for everything that the family went through. And, also, she had kind of fallen in love with another boy that she could barely bring herself to admit. She didn't want to love him, but it just happened; though, it never would have been more than she loved the other boy. She herself had broken a heart in two when she had resided in Maryland. And she just couldn't bear herself to do something like that again. So, finally, she gave up on the idea of love completely.

But, she liked Destery a lot. Loved? No. Never. But enough to want to spend many years with him, maybe even marry one day if they stayed together. But now, it was much too early to tell. "Destery, you're very special to me, too." She whispered out quietly. The two swayed back and forth, Jasey's head resting on the boy's shoulder. They were dancing under a streetlight with Destery humming lightly in her ear, and Jasey couldn't help but think how cliché this all was. But she liked it. She liked it a lot.

Jasey liked her life right now, to be honest. She was still talking to her two best friends (behind her other two best friends, but that's beside the point), her career was at its high point of the year, and she had the best boyfriend in the world. To her, she could live like this for the rest of her life, eventually retiring early and possibly enrolling in a college for a career that's she's always wanted to try. Hey, maybe even cross some things off her bucket list. She just wanted life to be perfect.

But, alas, her life could never be perfect. Too many things were just too messed up in her life. Honestly, Jasey missed Jack and Alex terribly. Since the day she left back for Chicago, she hadn't spoken a word to them, like promised. She missed her two best friend's.

She missed the way she was so comfortable and goofy with Jack Barakat. She missed that she could just be able to tell him anything and everything to him and he would understand and never tell a soul what he had heard; he would never judge her. She missed his bright, perfect smile, and missed his blonde and brown hair that was crazy and always messy. She missed his too skinny body and lanky appendages. She missed his inappropriate jokes and phrases that used to make her laugh hysterically. But, most of all, she missed being able to be with him and not have to worry what would happen. She missed the feel of getting butterflies every time he smiled at her. And his hugs. Definitely his hugs.

And, even though she could barely admit it, she missed Alex as well. She missed the lopsided smile that made her go weak at knees for and her mind spin. She missed his amazing singing that used to serenade her to sleep many, many nights. She missed the feel of his lips on hers, and she missed the soft kisses he'd always place all over her neck and face after they had just gotten done telling the other the three special words. She missed the feeling of having butterflies every time he said he loved her. And she missed the nights when they'd be together in his or her bed, cuddling as close as the two could get, their arms and legs tangled with each other as they shared body heat. She missed the feel of his hands clasped with hers whenever they walked around together or cuddled. She missed everything about him.

And she hated that. She hated that she missed the boy who had shamelessly used her for his own pleasure. She hated that she missed the boy she fell in love with. She hated it all. She hated feeling sad all the time, and having to put on a fake smile to everyone she knew, even her second family.

Jasey just wanted a normal life for once. She was glad that she went through with the whole 'Hayley Johnson' ordeal, because for once in her life, she finally got to be a real teenager. Though she loved what she did, she just wanted a normal life.

She just wanted to be able to go to high school at the proper grade, and hang out with her friends. She wanted to be able to fail tests and quizzes and not care about school until the last minute so she didn't fail and have to take summer school. She wanted to party on the weekends and drink all she wanted until she passed out, maybe have a hookup or two with a boy she would barely see again. She wanted to have a boyfriend that just liked to be around her and not bring all the drama. She wanted to fight with both her parents, and possibly say she hated them because they wouldn't let her go to a party, but shed know that they still loved her no matter what. She wanted to go to college, especially art school.

Oh how she desperately wanted to go to an arts school to pursue in her desire to draw and paint. But that would never happen. One, because her mother would never allow it. And two, because she already had a career that supplied her with enough money to set her and her possibly future children for life. Why go to school for another career?

She wanted it all. She practically dreamed about it. But Jasey knew she'd never have a life like that. That opportunity was out the window now and had run away. And she wanted so badly to chase after that. So, so badly.

Each and every day, Alex and Jack sends her one text message each, each saying they missed her terribly and that they wanted for her to call them back so they could talk. Then, at night, each would wish her sweet dreams. Jasey read each and every text message, her heart sinking because she wanted to call them back and say how much she missed them. But she just couldn't. She made a promise to herself she wouldn't talk to either of them until the season was over and they were on break from touring.

Alexander William Gaskarth always told himself that he had a pretty decent life. His parents both loved him dearly, Jack, Rian, and Zack were still with him, and the band he put his heart and soul into was finally beginning to kick off. He got to travel the world as he sung his heart out to thousands of fans. Sure, they weren't the main band, but they still had the times of their lives; they even had a good number of fans beginning to follow them.

But, there was still a nagging and hurting feeling in his body every time a certain name ran through his head. Jasey. Oh how he missed her terribly. He missed the girl that he had broken her heart intentionally. He missed the fiery red hair he used to run his fingers through, he missed her bright smile that he went weak at the knees for; he missed her completely.

He probably was never going to forgive himself for letting of most likely the best thing that's ever happened to him. He was telling the truth when he had talked to Jasey last. He had been awfully scared that she would have found a better guy when she was traveling the country. He didn't want to lose her like that. He wanted to beat her to the punch, and he did. And he felt terrible about that. It was the worst thing he had ever done in his life. The look of pure hurt and pain etched on her face the day he told her she was nothing more than a casual fuck was forever embedded in his mind, and his heart sank each time. How could he have hurt the girl he was in love with?

"Al, you comin', man?"

Alex looked up from his phone, his eyes landing on his best friend standing a few feet away from him. He sighed, looking back at his phone. Every time Alex looked at Jack, he always thought of how Jasey said she had kissed Jack behind his back. Jack didn't know that Alex knew because Alex always kept it to himself. He didn't want to start anymore drama. "Yeah." Alex mumbled, his hands deleting the text message he was about to send and shoved his phone in his pocket. After standing up, Alex seemed to be staring at his shoes sadly. He hated that he couldn't get the baseball player out of his mind.

"Come on; we have to get to the airport soon." Jack mumbled, his eyes averted to the ground as well. Ever since Jasey had left the last time, Alex and Jack's friendship was never really the same. Each had betrayed their best friend in some way. Jack had kissed his best friend's girlfriend, and Alex had broken the heart of the girl Jack was in love with as well.

Jack turned around, rolling his eyes since Alex wouldn't answer him, but stopped as he felt the boy grab his wrist lightly. "I'm so sorry, Jack."

Jack clenched his jaw sadly. This was a regular occurrence. Alex couldn't express how sorry he was to Jack for doing such a thing. And each time, Jack would say 'I know' and walk away. This time was definitely no exception.

This is what Destery looks like.

I'M SO FUCKING SORRY!
Oh my God, you have absolutely no idea how so fucking sorry I am for not updating in almost a month. I've had SERIOUS writer's block and it was really killing me. Plus, school is hectic and so, yeah. You know?

Song of the day: Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance

Anyways, this story will probably be shorter than the last, and with that, I'm sorry :/ but I'm just not feeling it anymore. Maybe it's just the block, but I'm starting to get back into it, so who knows?

So, five comments or more for the next chapter (which I WILL update sooner!). AND POLL TIME!
A. Alex and Jasey
B. Jack and Jasey
C. Destery and Jasey.
Where do you think All Time Low is going?

You'll see more of Destery later on in the story. Don't worry, he won't be mean or anything! XD Personally, I kind of like Jack and Jasey, but that's just my opinion.

anyways, again, I'm terribly sorry for the long wait and SUCH a short chapter!

xx.
