The Boarders
Prologue
"Mrs. Thomas, we are to send out our invitations this year" a small old woman walked cautiously towards the head teachers. Mrs. Thomas was known for her bad moods. She had her brown hair pulled into a bun and her brows furrowed as she read a stack of papers. She looked up at her faithful assistant and smiled. It was a rare smile but it was beautiful on her,
"Oh yes Mathilda, fetch the recommendations" Mathilda grabbed them from inside of the wooden cabinet and placed them on the head teachers desk.
"Thank you Mathilda, now, you read through these," She handed over a section of the pile, "And I'll read these"
It was a lengthy process in which they had to look at the grades and recommendations of over 200 students. They could only invite 10, that meant cutting 90% of them. it took a few hours but they had finally singled out 10. Mrs.Thomas neatly wrote out her letters before sending them off.
They travelled far through out England, from Cornwall to Newcastle, London to Manchester.
