Studio Time
BTD 4
I walked down the stairs with my head held high. The boys ( except Tyler) catcalled and I rolled my eyes, sitting next to Ty on the couch.
" Where are you two headed off to so early?" Emily asked, handing me a cup of coffee.
" Thanks. Port Angeles. I have some studio time scheduled. Just need to find a ride," I looked to Ty," You wanna call a taxi?"
Paul huffed," Don't call a damn taxi. I'll take you. "
I blinked, surprised," Okkaayy? Thanks."
Tyler nudged me. I glared at him.
Ten minutes later 'we' were out the door.
" So. What are 'we doing once 'we' get there?" Paul asked as we drove past La Push.
I rose an eyebrow," Uhm. It's a studio. I'm recording songs for my new album. Duh," I scoffed.
He rolled his eyes," Right."
It was silent for the next hour. We reached the studio soon. I got out quickly, walking inside, the boys following me.
" Kara Young." I told the receptionist. She looked up with wide eyes.
" 135"
I nodded. We walked down the hall. When 'we' got to room 135 we walked in and the boys sat in the control room, me going through the other door.
" Okay, let's start with 4ever," Tyler said through the microphone. I nodded, taking a deep breath.
"Here We Are So What You Gonna Do?
Do I Got To Spell It Out For You?
I Can See That You Have Other Plan's For Tonight
But I Don't Really Care
Size Me Up You Know I'll Be The Best
TicK Tock No Time To Rest
Let Them Say What Their Gonna Say
But Tonight I Just Don't Really Care
Chorus
Come On Baby We Ain't Gonna Live 4ever
Let Me Show You All The Things That We Could Do
You Know You Wanna Be Together
And I Wanna Spend The Night With You
Yeah, yeah, With You, Yeah, yeah
Come With Me Tonight
We Could Make The Night Last 4ever
I've Seen It All I've Got Nothing To Prove
Come On Baby Just Make Your Move
Follow Me Lets Leave It All Behind Tonight
Like We Just Don't Care
Let Me Take You On The Ride Of Your Life
That's What I Said Alright
They Can Say What They Wanna Say
Cause Tonight I Just Don't Even Care"
My eyes locked with Paul. I smirked.
" Chorus
Let's Pretend Your Mine
We Could Just Pretend, We Could Just Pretend, Yeah, yeah
You Got What I Like
You Got What I Like, I Got What You Like
Oh Come On
Just One Taste And You Want More
So Tell Me What Your Waiting For
Chours-Repeat 2x"
I finished with a smile. Paul clapped. I blushed. Blah.
" That was great, girl. Let's do U&Ur Hand. "
I sighed,
"Check it out, Going out, on the late night
"Lookin' tight, feeling nice; it's a cock fight
I can tell I just know that it's going down, tonight
At the door, we don't wait 'cause we know them
At the bar, six shots just beginnin'
That's when dick head put his hands on me
But ya see
[Chorus]
I'm not here for your entertainment
You don't really wanna mess with me tonight
Just stop and take a second
I was fine before you walked into my life
Cause you know it's over, before it began
Keep your drink, just give me the money
It's just you and your hand tonight
Midnight, I'm drunk, I don't give a fuck
Wanna dance by myself, guess you're out of luck
Don't touch, back up, I'm not the one
Buh-bye
Listen up, it's just not happenin'
You can say what you want to your boyfriends
Just let me have my fun tonight, a'ight
[Chorus]
You're in the corner with your boys; you bet them five bucks
You'd get the girl that just walked in, but she thinks you suck
We didn't get all dressed up just for you to see
So quit spilling your drinks on me
You know you are
High five and talking shit
But you are going home alone
Aren't ya?
[Chorus: x2]"
I finished and noticed Paul was giving me that look like he did yesterday...like he loved me or something.
" Okay. Let's Finish with Just A Dream."
I sucked in my breath," Do we have to?" I asked in a small voice.
Tyler gave me a sorry look. " Yeah babes. It's the only song left. You can't procrastinate anymore. "
Paul rose an eyebrow," Do you not like the song?"
I shook my head slowly. " It's personal. Let's get this over with, Ty."
He nodded. Paul crossed his arms.

" It was two weeks after the day she turned 18
All dressed in white, going to the church that night
She had his box of letters in the passenger seat
Sixpence in her shoe
Something borrowed, something blue
And when the church doors opened up wide
She put her veil down trying to hide the tears
Oh she just couldn't believe it
She heard the trumpets from the military band
And the flowers fell out of her hands
[Chorus]
Baby, why'd you leave me, why'd you have to go
I was counting on forever, now I'll never know
I can't even breathe
It's like I'm looking from a distance,
Standing in the background
Everybody's saying, he's not coming home now,
This can't be happening to me
This is just a dream
The preacher man said let us bow our heads and pray
Lord please lift his soul and heal this hurt
Then the congregation all stood up
And sang the saddest song that she ever heard
Then they handed her a folded up flag
And she held on to all she had left of him
Oh, and what could've been
And then guns rang one last shot
And it felt like a bullet in her heart
[Chorus: x2]
Oh, this is just a dream
Just a dream, (yeah, yeah) "
I felt a single tear run down my cheek. " I'm done. "
I walked out the back door in frustration. I pulled a pack of cigarettes out and a lighter I lit up and took a long drag, letting it calm me down.
" I didn't know you smoked." a deep voice broke me from my hysteria.
I turned to Paul," yeah. I'm just full of surprises." I said dryly.
" I'll bet. " he murmured. He sat down beside me on the curb.
" What are you doing?" I asked. The summer sun made me sweat and I wiped my brow.
" Sitting." he said. I nodded, biting my lip.
This was actually kinda nice; just being in each others company, not saying much.
Gave me time to think.
