Whispered Dark Memories

I ran my hand through my now purple hair nervously. We were about to meet Avenged Sevenfold and I think I was about to have a fucking aneurysm. I felt someone bump their shoulder into mine, and I looked over to see a grinning Kota. "You nervous?" She asked. I nodded.

"How can you not be? Kota, we're about to meet our fucking idols," I murmured quietly. Since we were outside, watching the roadies set up, our hair kept blowing our faces. Kota pushed some of her now blue hair out of her eyes, and she looked behind us.

"Bout damn time you two got here," Kota commented. I turned my head to see Kat and Avery trudging slowly towards us.

"Have a nice nap, sleeping beauties?" I smirked. Avery glared at me, before smiling slightly. Kat sent a tired grin my way.

"Shut up."

"Are you girls having fun, yet?" I let a little gasp escape my lips before wheeling around and seeing Dan's grinning face.

"Jesus-" I started.

"Fucking-" Kota.

"Christ!" Kat finished.

"Did you three rehearse that?" Dan asked.

"Why the hell are you sneaking up on us?" I asked.

"Wanted to make sure it was you." He looked at the four of us. "I like the new hair," he added before walking away.

"Our manager is so weird," Kota commented.

"He's a freak of nature," I added.

"It's why he gets along with us so well," Kat said. We all nodded in agreement.

"So, you three must be Fatal Design." I froze. Oh. My. Fucking. God. I looked over at Kota and saw that her eyes were just as wide as mine. I turned slowly, and almost screamed.

There. Standing in front of us. Was. Avenged. Sevenfold.

"Hi!" The Rev shouted before running up to me and Kota, wrapping his arms around both of us, and spinning us in a circle. He put us back on the ground, and then did the same to Kat and Avery.

"Sorry about him. We forgot his leash," M. Shadows joked. Kota and I laughed. "I'm Matt Sanders," he said, shaking our hands.

"I'm Brian Haner," Synyster Gates said.

"Zacky Baker."

"Johnny Seward." Kota and I smiled at all of them.

"I'm Dakota Shadows and this is my twin sister, Aubrey. We go by Kota and Bre though. The girl with red hair is Katra Vayne, but she goes by Kat, and the one with pink hair is Avery Sullivan," Kota said. Matt started laughing.

"That's odd. You two have the same last name as my stage name and Avery has Jimmy's last name." We stood there and talked for a few hours, getting to know each other before Jacoby walked over.

"Hey, girls. Haven't seen you three in a while," he said, giving me, Kota, and Kat a hug.

"You know them?" Brian asked Jacoby. He nodded.

"Yeah, I did a song with them about a month or two ago," he said. Dan walked up to us and told us that the dressing rooms for the concert are ready for all of us. I looked at the venue and my eyes widened.

"Holy fuck," I said when I saw how many people were already here. The concert didn't even start for another four hours.

"And they're all here to see us," Johnny said. I stared at him.

"Ha, you wi-" I was cut off by Jacoby.

"No, they're all here to see me," he said proudly. I laughed.

"No, they're here to see us. We're new, so that makes us more interesting than all of your old asses," Kota commented. I bumped my fist with hers.

"Damn straight, twin."

About three hours later, Kota, Kat, Avery, and I were in our dressing room. I got dressed into the outfit I was going to where for the concert and sighed. "Can you guys believe we're here?" I whispered. Kota walked over to me and stood beside me, also looking in the full length mirror I was looking in to. I saw her grin.

"I'm still waiting for someone to pinch me, and I wake up in my bed back in Forks," she laughed.

"Right there with ya," Kat said, standing on my other side. I sighed again, and then a large grin crawled its way onto my face.

"Let's give this audience one hell of a fucking show."

An hour later, Dan told us that we would be the first up, and I was shaking slightly. This was the first big ass audience we've ever performed in front of. I saw Kota twirling her drum sticks nervously and Kat was biting her lip. "You girls are gonna do fine," A voice said from behind us. I turned around and saw Brian and Matt.

"Thanks," I said and then gulped.

"Just take a couple deep breaths," Matt instructed. We listened, and I admit, I felt slightly better.

"Five minutes!" One of the roadies called out. Jason I think his name was.

"Thanks JB!" Matt called back.

Those five minutes went by fast, and the next thing I knew I was standing at the mic, my rhythm guitar in my hands. "How's everyone doing tonight?!" I yelled into the mic. The roaring sound of applause and screams met my ears and I smiled, knowing everything would be okay. "Alright, this first song we're gonna sing is called My Life Would Suck Without You." I winked at Kat, and she started the song off.
