Born and Broken Every Single Time.

Crossing minds at the wrong time.

"Hey," I muttered. "Look I know you're probably busy or something but-"

"I'm not busy," Mikey replied quickly. "What's up?"

"I-I just wanted someone to talk to," I sighed. "I just, I don't know…"

"Come round here," Mikey suggested. "We won't mind."

"B-but you have a full house, the last thing you need is me…"

"Don't be stupid!" he replied chirpily. "You're like another son in this family. And besides," his voice quietened. "There seems to be trouble in paradise."

"How do you mean?" I couldn't help but feel a smile appear on my face, as much as I knew it was bad to find myself grinning at a possible misfortune.

"Just come round," Mikey replied. "You'll see for yourself."

"Okay…" I replied with a giggle. "I'll be round soon."

"Ace," he laughed. "I'll catch you soon man, bye."

I hung up my phone before placing it back in my jeans pocket. I rested my hands back in the pockets of my hoodie as my walk sped up gradually to the Way residence. The thoughts of what could be going on were running through my mind as I grew closer, eventually turning into the driveway and knocking feebly on the door.

"Just in time!" Mikey laughed. "Seriously it's crazy in here, follow!"

He ran up to his room and I followed after shutting the door quietly. I closed the bedroom door behind me as I joined Mikey who sat on the floor, leaned up against the wall in stitches.

"What's going on?" I asked with a smile as I unzipped my hoodie.

"She's apparently been with another guy," he smirked. "But I just heard that part before you came in, they've just generally been arguing to be honest."

I smirked as Mikey burst out laughing again quietly, both of us listening in to the shouting next door.

"NO," Gerard yelled. "You can't just excuse the fact you were with him as if it was nothing! Didn't I cross your mind at any point?"

"Actually no," she screamed. "See when I'm screwing someone I tend to think of the person I'm with."

"Ooh," Mikey muttered. "Harsh."

"LOOK," Gerard shouted. "We're not going through this again, I didn't do that."

"SO YOU DIDN'T MOAN SOMEONE ELSES NAME THEN?" she screamed. The surprise was that her lungs didn't burst from the sheer volume she yelled at.

"OH MY GOD!" Mikey burst out laughing as quietly as he could manage, I couldn't help but join him. "Ow, that hurts," he groaned, making him laugh even more as he clutched his stomach.

"NO," he shouted. "Come on, you know I didn't."

"You know," she quietened slightly. "It wouldn't hurt to much if it was a fucking girls name."

"I DIDN'T DO IT," he yelled.

"A guy?" I asked as I turned to Mikey, my eyes widening.

"She really has to have got it wrong," Mikey giggled. "He's not like that."

"I HEARD YOU GERARD!" she yelled. "I'm out of here, now."

"EVA I DIDN'T DO IT, YOU MUST HAVE HEARD WRONG," he pleaded.

"What?" she snapped. "So I didn't hear you moan Fr-"

I began coughing loudly to cover the name, the moment I heard the first sound of it I knew beyond all reasonable doubt what had happened, making my heart absolutely burst but Mikey couldn't hear that.

"FRANK," Mikey yelled. "What the hell are you doing?!"

"Sorry," I muttered. "I just had something caught in my throat."

"Idiot," he laughed as he jokingly hit me.

Mikeys door swung open as Gerard looked in at hearing the shout from in here. He looked cross between angry and embarrassed.

"You were listening, weren't you?" he asked with a frown.

"Honestly?" Mikey smiled. "Yes, yes we were. But Frank took a coughing fit so we missed the name of the lucky lady who crossed your mind at… at the wrong time."

"Oh," he muttered. "Stop listening in to stuff," he muttered. He glared at Mikey as his younger brother explained they couldn't help but listen in due to the sheer volume of it all. As Mikey continued to lecture he glanced over at me to be met with a smirk telling him I knew exactly what was going on.
