It's Better If You Do

Cinquante-Trois.

"Do you suppose we should be getting back to the shop?" Rose asked softly, though she really didn't want to move at all. It was so comfortable to be wrapped up in his arms, her head resting against his chest. But, she knew they should be getting back; it was getting late, and they had work tomorrow and needed showers before they went to bed. Fred shrugged his shoulders lazily, squeezing her tighter.

"If you want. I don't think they're waiting up for us. We could probably show up past midnight and they wouldn't notice." he pointed out.

She sighed, shaking her head slightly, "I don't want to. I'm just thinking about how tired we're going to be in the morning."

"You're right." Fred said reluctantly, his lips pouting out dramatically. Rose laughed, and leaned up to kiss him softly. Then she stood up, expecting him to follow suit, but he merely sat there, looking up at her rather pathetically.

"Come on," she said as she smiled playfully, pulling on his long arms. He surrendered with a groan, looking much like a child being pulled away from the playground. He continued to pout at her, and she gave him a wry smile, "Unless you want to apparate back alone..."

"I never knew you'd stoop to bribing," he grumbled. Rose laughed, and turned on the spot, and they stood in the empty backroom, which was completely dark except the small sliver of light coming from beneath the door to the flat. Stepping onto the stairs, a loud creak resounded from the board, and she jumped back, looking up at the door with a fearful expression. Fred chuckled, and whispered, "Follow me. Step where I step."

Nodding, Rose watched intently as he placed his feet on the far side of the step, and made his way up, occasionally moving to one side to keep the silence. She hesitated slightly, but copied his movements, only received a few squeaks from the old stairs. When she reached the top, she beamed at him, proud of herself, and whispered, "That wasn't so bad."

"Says the girl who had to be shown how to walk up stairs." Fred teased, smiling. Pouting dramatically, she crossed her arms across her chest.

"I thought that was pretty good. You're just ruining all my fun." she mumbled, trying not to smile. He mashed his lips together, otherwise he would laugh and that would surely wake them up. And that wouldn't be pleasant in the slightest. He decided to mess with her a bit, and his eyes gleamed with mischief.

"I'm sorry, Rosie," he murmured, pulling her close, his arms wrapped snugly around her. She gasped quietly, her heart thudding extremely hard, and a blush burning her cheeks. He whispered into her ear, "Forgive me?"

She merely nodded, and he smirked slightly, before kissing her. Sighing softly into the kiss, she leaned up on her tiptoes and wrapped her arms around his neck slowly. The way he kissed her left her dazed and slightly disoriented, and the way he was kissing her now should be illegal, she thought ruefully. Losing herself in the kiss, she pressed herself tighter to him, causing him to stumble back into the door, but neither of them noticed.

Rose's shyness had gone, and it was a bit liberating, and she kissed Fred back with a bit more enthusiasm, to which he happily responded. He turned them around quickly, and pressed her against the door, earning a soft gasp of surprise, but not stopping the kiss.

Inside the flat, Bellamy had slowly opened her eyes at the thud, and looked around the room, disgruntled. She saw George sitting up and eyeing the door with a look of amusement that immediately made her raise a brow in suspicion. She sat up and he looked over at her, slightly alarmed. She wasn't supposed to have woken up, he thought slightly panicked, she sleeps through everything.

"What was that?" she asked quietly, her voice thick with sleep. He shrugged, though he gave the door a quick glance.

"Dunno. They might be down in the shop. I heard them apparate back about five minutes or so ago." George murmured lightly, rumpling his hair.

Bellamy bit her lip, thinking for a moment, then pushed her covers back. She would go see what they were up to, and tell them it was time for bed. They had been gone all evening, and as much fun they might be having, it wouldn't be too lovely to wake up early in the morning and be sleepy the entire day. George watched with a slight grimace as she set forward to open the door.

This was fun to write, and I was fighting laughter at what Bellamy's reaction is going to be. *grins* Comments and subscriptions are MUCH welcomed, kiddos!
