I'm Coming Out!

I'm Coming Out! Chapter 8

The next morning, on the way to school, Andy and I talked out what he was going to say to Denis.
“Don’t beat around the bush,”
“I’m not,”
“Just tell me that you saw him,”
“Stop freaking out. I got this,”
I rolled my eyes. “Maybe I should just-”
“No, we’ll see what he says then we’ll think about what to do,”
“Fine,” I said starting out the window.
“If he hurts Jane, I’m going to rip-”
“Chill, Nevaeh, deep breaths,”
“Don’t tell me what to do,” I said once we reached school.
Andy parked his car and we walked in together.
I meet Jane by my locker and we hung out there until homeroom, where we were forced to go our separate ways.
If Andy did everything according to plan, then he should have talked to Denis already.
The bell rang and lunch was here.
I hurried to Andy’s locker, where he already was.
“Well?” I asked.
“She puts out and she doesn’t. His words not mine.”
I rolled my eyes. “Anything else,”
“He said that if I wanted him to he’ll break up with the nun, I mean Jane,”
“What did you say?”
“I told him to do the right thing,”
“And?”
“The bell rang,”
“You’re no use to me,” I said walking away.
“You’re welcome, rude!” he called after me.
I waved away his comment and headed to the cafe.
I walked over to Jane who was sitting with the rest of the group including Denis.
He had his arm around Jane and held her close to him.
I gave him a hard stare and he gave me a knowing smile.
I sat down and took out my lunch from my book bag. I pulled out my sandwich and quickly took a bit.
“Hungry?” Cole asked laughing.
I nodded my head as the others chuckled.
Andy walked over to our table and Denis kissed Jane quickly before getting up. “Later guys,” he said walking away with Andy, who waved bye to us.
I looked up at Jane and she had a smile on her face. “Who wants to hang out tonight? Nevaeh, you have no choice,”
I laughed. “Fine, I guess we could do something after cooking,”
“Anyone else?”
“Count me in,” Melissa said.
“Same,” Lexi said eating a grape.
“I’ve got work,” Cole said. “Sorry, lady,”
“Girls night!” Lexi said waving her hands in the air.
“Where to?” I asked.
“My place, bring homework, music, and movies. I got the food!” she said smiling.
“Deal,” we said.
“Now, I feel left out,” Cole said.
“You’re not a girl,” I pointed out.
“So?” he asked taking a slip of his drink.
I rolled my eyes at him and focused on my food.
Moments later lunch was over and we were all headed to our next classes.
The day dragged on and the bell finally rang.
I meet Jane by my locker and we headed to the cooking room.
I took a little detour to use the bathroom.
After I did my business and washed my hands Kate walked in and smiled at me.
“Hey beautiful, how are you, today? I haven’t seen you all day, come to think of it,”
I smiled slightly and dried my hands. “I’m good, where have you been all day?”
“Here, I guess we ran in different circles today,” she said hugging my around my waist.
“I guess,” I said blushing.
She let go and stood next to me. “So, what’s up?”
“Nothing, just heading to cooking class,”
“Oh right, I signed up, I hope that’s okay,”
“Um…sure, it’s a small class anyway,”
“Great,” she said walking into a stall.
I smiled and walked out of the bathroom and headed to the cooking room.
“Hey Nevaeh,” Denis said walking over to me.
He backed me against the wall smirking. “Mind your business,” he said winking.
I rolled my eyes as he walked away.
I quickly entered the cooking room and joined Jane at our “kitchen”.
