My name is Darcy Lancer. Just one night ago my father died. He had prostate cancer, and he was really sick. My dad owned a horse ranch. Legally, now it's mine and my moms. The ranch is called Field of Dreams. Since my dad knew a lot about horse racing we had 3 winning race horses. Bella Destiny, Hack, and Remmy. People came here from all over town to learn to ride, or to see our 3 winning horses.
Right after my dad died my mom admitted to being pregnant. She also said that she had no idea if it was dad's baby or not. She begged me to help her. So I did. I got with the school bad boy, Sam Lucas, at a party, and I got knocked up. I didn't want my mom to have to go through being questioned, so I threw all the attention on myself. For getting pregnant, I was: Kicked off cheer, out of debate, my school Glee club kicked me out because they were winners and winners didn't get prematurely pregnant, and invited to study with the home and wellness class to learn how to care for a baby. I'm not saying this is a mistake. I'd never want bad things to happen to my mom. But lately I've been thinking. Did I go too far to protect my mom?
