A Million tries

no one was here
there was nothing to hear
but the beeping of my own heart
the drip drip drip of the I.V.
so i looked around in the void
or at least i thought it was a void
but i thought of food
and poof
appeared a pizza place
and they had good pizza
bacon, Italiano sausage, and mushrooms
when i had my fill
i thought of a dog
that i could never have
and appeared a border collie
my dream come true
we ran around
played catch
and did all that
i decided
if i ever get out of this alive
im going to make a story
of what happens
when your in a coma
and stuff
but as i played
i remembered
i might die
i might see the tunnel
i might see the light
i might get picked up by angels
i might leave this world
no
i dont want to die
not yet
not now
someone save me
from my desires
give me a trail
to get out
let me know
if i could get out
even if it takes a long time
i want out
and just like that
i was somewhere else
somewhere different
flights of stares appeared before me
i looked up
and it lead some where
a door
but it was so hight up
but then again
i wont need food
or water
or even a dog
cause im in a hospital
im in a bed
im getting food threw a tube
yeah that sound about right
so i looked up
then back at the pizza place
and the dog
but shook my head
and faced forward
i need to get to graduation
and collage
and a love life
and and my brother
i made a promise
i will not die
not now
not when i have so much to do
so much to live for
i must take the first steps
the hardest steps
before it becomes easy
so i put on foot forward and i began the clime
