"I was never supposed to end up like this," I told him as my eyelids grew heavier with each passing second.
"Yeah?" he asked with sleepiness etched in his voice, "and where were you supposed to end up?"
"I was supposed to become a doctor. I was supposed to find the cure for cancer," I told him as I let my eyes finally close.
"But aren't you much happier just being here?" he half said, half mumbled. I opened my eyes and turned my head to look at him, but he was already asleep.
"Yeah," I said to myself as I looked one last time at his sleeping face, "I guess I am."

Rose Tucker had been on the right path all of her life, or so she thought. It wasn't until being kicked out by her parents, and ending up on the open road with a van full of musicians that she really learns what the right path is anyway.
