Ch 14

Jaz’s P.O.V

Right as Zach spoke my dad came outside wondering what was going on.

Dad- Jaz who are these young men, and how do you already know them?

Me- Hi dad. I actually only really know one of them. You know how I mentioned that one guy named Zach?

Dad- Yes I remember.

Me- Well this is Zach

I gesture towards Zach, and he waves.

Zach- Hello sir.

Dad- Ah so you’re the singer, and the one that gave her that bracelet that she won’t ever take off?

I blush, but it’s true, I won’t ever take his bracelet off. Actually I have been playing with it the whole time.

Zach- Um yes sir

I could tell Zach was nervous the way he kept saying sir, and the way he stopped slouching.

Before I know it my little brother Jake is on the lawn jumping around.

Jake- Hi Zach. Wait who are you guys?

Cameron- I’m Zach friends Cameron

Nathan- I’m Nathan

Michael- and I’m Michael you know what it is.

Jake- wait I have seen you guys on that poster in Jaz’s room

Me- Jake I love you but please stop talking.

My dad laughs, while my mom comes outside.

Mom- O Zachary what are you doing here? Do you live in town?

Zach- Actually I live right next door.

He points to his house.

Mom- Well that is fantastic. I was worried about Jaz not knowing anyone, but she knows you.

Zach- Yeah I’m happy you guys moved here.

Mom- I am sure you are.

She gives Zach a knowing look, and he blushes a little, you know a guys blush.

Mom- Come on Jake, honey let the kids catch up

Dad- Remember what I said Jaz

I blush.

Me- DAD!!!

Dad- just checking

Me- Just please walk into the house now.

Cameron- Ok I am CONFUSED!!!

Me- I guess you didn’t tell them Zach

Zach- yes and no

Zach- Jaz and I dated while I was in Colorado.

Nathan- OH this is the girl you wouldn’t shut up about, and the chick you were sad to be leaving.

Mike- Oh Right and you’re the reason he was moping around all day.

Zach- SHUT UP GUYS!!!

Me- I think it’s cute

Zach- So can we pick up where we left off?
