Vampires, Werewolves, and... Love? Oh My!

Cullens

"Miss Swan? Miss Swan!" Mrs. Hendrix's hand slammed down on my desk. She glared at me over her thick glasses. Her lips were pursed together in a tight line. I swear, the woman could be a nun at an old Catholic school. "Thank you for joining us, Miss Swan," she hissed sarcastically.
"Yeah, yeah. No prob," I yawned lazily.
"Now, if you could please answer the question I've been asking for the last few minutes."
"Which would be?" I prompted. My head rested on my hand. It was only my second day and I already hated my history teacher, Mrs. Hendrix. Although it was pretty obvious that the feeling was mutual.
She sighed in exasperation. "Who was the president of the Confederacy during the Civil War?"
I shrugged. "I don't know. It's not like he was that good of a leader anyway. The south lost, didn't they?"
I could tell that she was getting annoyed with me. The pale boy with blonde hair next to me raised his hand. "Yes, Jasper?" Mrs. Hendrix said fondly.
"It was Jefferson Davis."
I rolled my eyes as the teacher gave the hot Jasper guy a warm smile and a "very good". Her eyes lingered on him for too long. I'll admit he was attractive, but EW! She's a teacher for goodness sake! Jasper smirked a little. I rolled my eyes and returned to my nap.
"So how was class?" Bella asked as we waited in line for lunch.
"Eh, fine, I guess. I had a nice long nap in history." I bought a bottle of pink lemonade and started walking through the cafeteria.
"Aren't you going to get something else?"
"No, I'm not hungry."
My twin pursed her lips. "But you didn't even eat breakfast," she complained as she followed me toward an empty table.
I didn't say anything as I just sat down. She pulled up a chair to sit with me. "You know," I said, changing the subject from my lack of food, "I don't mind if you sit with your friends. I'm fine sitting on my own."'
"No, it's fine. And look, here comes Edward and Alice."
"Joy," I muttered sarcastically.
"Hi, Bella. Hey, Lizzy," Alice greeted. I nodded. Bella waved but then pecked her boyfriend on the lips. “Lizzy, did you really bite Bella? That is so gross!”
“It’s not like I actually broke skin,” I complained. “Besides, she asked for it.”
“Why the hell would I want you to bite me? Teeth are not for biting; biting hurts,” she teased, quoting a kids’ book that for some reason always made me laugh.
Alice giggled and then both Cullens sat down and started picking at their trays of food without really eating anything. A few minutes passed before three more incredibly good looking people joined our table. One of them was a girl with gorgeous long, blonde hair that looked like a life size Barbie doll. The guy holding her hand was big with lots of muscles and dark hair. The last was Jasper from history class.
"Lizzy," Alice started. "This is my brother Emmett Cullen, his girlfriend Rosalie Hale, and my boyfriend Japser Hale."
"We've met," I mumbled shooting a look at Jasper. "But nice to meet the rest of you, I guess."
Rosalie snorted. "Well aren't you a little ray of sunshine?"
I glared at her. "And aren't you quite the bitch," I snapped. Silence fell on our table. Bella bit her lip nervously and I saw Emmett put his arm around Rosalie's shoulder as if to restrain her.
Suddenly, Rosalie's perfect lips broke into a smile. "I think that you and I will get along just fine."
"Whatever," I sighed.
Alice cleared her throat. "So, Lizzy, how do you know Jasper?"
"History," I answered.
"Speaking of which," he said with a smirk, "Mrs. Hendrix thinks you should get a tutor for that class. Namely, me."
"Getting the life sucked out of me would be less painful and boring," I said with false sweetness. "It's called history for a reason. I don't think I need to know details about crap like the Civil War that happened before any of us were born. All I need to know is that the South lost and now there's no more slavery. End of story."
Jasper shrugged. "It's your grade."
"Why don't you and Bella come to our place after school? You and Jasper can study and then the four of us girls can hang out."
"Great idea," Bella volunteered, still looking at her boyfriend. "We would love to go."
"Great," I muttered under my breath so no one could hear me. "Just fucking peachy." Alice’s head snapped in my direction after I said that and she frowned, almost as if she’d heard my inaudible whisper.
After school was over, Bella's truck followed the silver Volvo to the outskirts of town and down three miles of driveway before reaching an amazing white mansion by the river. I followed Bella and Edward in. The living room was open with a giant screen TV in front of several cream couches. The floors were soft and thick and a light beige color. One whole wall was made entirely of glass. Near the backdoor, a grand piano stood on a small stage. I gasped at the sight.
I immediately went to the piano and my fingers gently glided over the ivory keys.
"Esme, this is my sister Lizzy," I heard Bella say from behind me. "Lizzy, this is Edward's adoptive mother Esme Cullen." I turned around to see a woman with a heart-shaped face, caramel hair, and the same golden eyes as the rest of the Cullens. She looked way too young to have kids that were in high school, but everything about her screamed motherly.
"Hello, Lizzy. Do you play?" she asked nodding toward the piano.
"A little."
"Well, we would love to hear it."
I shrugged and sat on the bend. My fingers started playing Beethoven's Fur Elise (the song Lizzy plays) as if on their own accord. "That was lovely," Emse gushed when I was done.
"It's nothing special. That's pretty much all I was able to teach myself to play."
"You taught yourself?" Edward said in almost shock.
"Yes," I snapped. "Is that so surprising?"
Bella stepped in to keep me from yelling more. "Lizzy's a natural artist,” Bella gushed like a proud soccer mom. “She can read music and play the piano. She also draws and takes pictures a lot."
I didn't say anything but went to let Jasper try to tutor me in the kitchen.
"Come on, Lizzy. Who was the most famous General of the South?" Jasper repeated.
"Some guy that's dead now," I answered, twirling a piece of hair around my index finger.
"Lizzy," he sighed as if dealing with a three-year-old.
"What? There's no way he's alive and kicking after over a hundred years. That's totally impossible."
His eyes narrowed at me. "You are impossible."
I stuck my tongue out. "Oh, bite me," I muttered. Jasper gripped the table hard. His expression said that he was actually considering taking me up on that offer. I bit my lip. Okay... Creepy.
