A Year Lost

Ever felt "your heart drop?" Ever watched something so important to you crumble away? Ever met a two-faced person? Ever watched them walk away, as if you were nothing? What if they were your world, your everything?

Inspired by a true story. Very few things have been changed, some by lack of memory (filling in gaps), others to make the story a bit more interesting. Too much has changed to call it a true story, but enough of it is real to spur me on to even write this. I usually write more of a thriller/suspense (sometimes with a fantasy or sci-fi flare), but this really "hit home" with me, and I need some way to vent it without ranting. Hope you enjoy this, and I am ready and willing to accept constructive criticism.
