Make Me Better

Chapter 40

My blood boiled when Jenna had the nerve to try and hit Lindsey, who was obviously dealing with Jenna's other friend. I tried to think rationally. If I hit her first then that wouldn't look good. So, when Jenna came up to slap me, I figured that was an invite to punch her. So, I did. She staggered backwards. Then things got crazy. Her stupid friend came up over to me but luckily Lindsey grabbed her and shoved her away. I thought one punch would do her good, but Jenna was stupid. She caught me off guard when she reached out to pull my hair, why do girls always insist on pulling hair during a fight? By now, there was a small crowd around us, cheering like idiots. I groaned and kicked her, she let out a scream of pain and I glared at her as I tried to fix my hair.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I asked, trying to calm myself down.

"You! Obviously! You fucking took my boyfriend!" She seriously sounded crazy, there was a slight red mark on her jaw, where I had punched her. I looked down as she held her ankle, I smiled a bit in accomplishment.

"Look, I said I was sorry about that. And I really am. But that doesn't give you the fucking right to go spreading rumors about Frank-"

"Everyone believed me." She smiled, standing up straight. I glared at her, she was such an asshole, I knew she was fucking lying from the very beginning.

"You're an idiot." I shook my head, looking over at Gerard who had pulled Lindsey away from Jenna's friend. Lindsey had an angry look on her face as Gerard tried to pull her away.

Her smile never left her face, "And everyone is going to believe me when I tell them I lost the baby."

"Why would you even go spreading a rumor-"

"It got to you didn't it? It made things a bit more complicated for you." I was going to walk away because I wouldn't be able to stop myself from punching her face in but I knew she wasn't done humiliating me. She had only spread those rumors to make my life harder and for that I felt no more pity for her. I truly was sorry about how things went down with her and Frank.

"Just fucking leave!" Lindsey shouted. I made the mistake of looking away from Jenna, before I knew she pushed me up against the stairway rail, my back banging into it hardly. I groaned and it didn't surprise me when she pulled my hair again, I elbowed her face and that didn't seem to phase her much. She gasped and grabbed her face in her hands, glaring at me. She made a move to scratch my face and Lindsey pulled her away quickly. My back was starting to ache.

"Olive?" Frank's voice was filled with worry as he pushed through the crowd of people. I glanced back over to Lindsey who was shoving Jenna and her friends out the house. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist, Frank grasped my face in one of his hands, forcing me to look at him. I was really embarrassed. All these people were around to experience Jenna and I fighting, well, if you even considered that a fight. I ran a hand through my hair, I'm pretty sure she pulled some hair out.

"What happened?" Frank asked, the people around us were starting to dissipate.

"She started it." I mumbled, pulling away from him and turning slightly, lifting up my shirt to inspect the damage. There was a red mark on my back, a huge red mark. Who the hell pushes you against a banister during a fight and pulls your hair?

"Are you ok?" He asked, his eyes searching for any sign of harm on my body, I smiled up reassuringly,

"I'm fine, I guess. My back hurts." I shrugged. Gerard moved me out of the way softly, his eyes wide as he looked at Frank,

"You missed the good shit, man!" Gerard grasped Frank's shoulders and shook him slightly, " Olive punched Jenna, it was such a good punch. Where the hell did you learn to punch like that?"

"You punched her?!" Frank shrugged Gerard's hands off of his shoulders. I cowered away from him and got closer to Lindsey.

"She pulled my hair!" I defended.

"Who cares! Olive, she's pregnant. Do you know all the trouble you could get yourself into?" Frank asked, a scowl formed on his face. I didn't comprehend why he was so mad right now.

"She isn't pregnant, she said so herself." Lindsey butted in. Frank was silent for a moment before he looked over at me,

"Then why would she go spreading rumors?"

"That's what I said!" I nodded. I still a bit livid and embarrassed. Now everyone was going to remember this. This my first 'real' catfight. I've punched people before but they were always guys. Jenna was quite relentless which surprised me a great deal. She was a horrible girl, she seriously had issues if she had the guts to tell people she was pregnant, And she only did it to piss me off.

I wasn't going to lie, Jenna scared me. In the sense that she wanted to emotionally hurt me. I didn't know if she would just stop here. I didn't know if she would leave me alone after this. That was the scary part, I didn't know what trick she had up her sleeve.
