Make Me Better

Chapter 66

"What's going on?" Frank asked, taking a seat next to me. I shrugged slightly.
"Gee was telling me that Lindsey is bringing a date." I almost laughed. Almost. The guys were having a small show at a venue up in New York tonight. Lindsey said she would come along but she didn't mention that she would be brining her pretend boyfriend. I never met the guy. I assumed Lindsey forced on of her guy friends to do it, or at least I hope that's what she did. I knew Gee was going to be mad but he was being a hypocrite. He had brought along some brunette with long legs and a fake tan. She was nice but she was sort of slow.
Frank nuzzled his face into my neck, taking a deep breath. I giggled and moved away from him.

"I love you."

"Olive!" I turned my head quickly, looking over at Lindey. She was a bit dressed up and she had done her make up. I could hear Frank groan from beside me. Lindsey walked further into the room, she looked down at Frank quickly.

"What are groaning about?" She asked.

"We were in the middle of something-" I looked over at him, smiling. I pressed my lips to his quickly, "I love you, too." I mumbled against his lips. I pulled away and smiled at Frank's goofy grin.

"I'll see you in a bit then, we have to go to soundcheck.." He said to me before leaving. Lindsey walked over and sat down on a nearby chair.

"I have a problem."

"Which is?"

"I feel weird pretending that this guy is my boyfriend."

"Well, then. Just go talk to Gee and try to work things out." She sighed and she had almost gone to look for Gerard but he strolled in, the girl walking right behind him. The sad thing was he didn't even acknowledge our existence. Lindsey groaned, "never mind, I'm sticking to the plan."

Later that night, I stood on the side of the stage, no one in the crowd could see me and it was sort of hard to see them with the bright lighting. But I enjoyed watching the guys perform, especially Frank. He seemed to be the most energetic out of all of them. Occasionally he would look over at me and my heart would go crazy. Half way through their set, Lindsey joined me.

"This is Derek." She said over the music. I teared my eyes off of Frank and looked over, past Lindsey.

"Hi," I smiled. He smiled sweetly and shook my hand.

So, how did she convince you to do this?" I asked, loudly. He started to laugh.

"She helped me with one of final projects, if it wasnt for her i probably would have failed a semester." He smiled. I shook my head slightly,

"I was sort of drunk when I agreed. But a promise is promise." He added, he looked over at the stage and shrugged. He was much bigger than Gee. So much bigger. I stayed near Lindsey after the show was done, just so that I could see how Gee would react. He glanced over at Lindsey, I could see his anger starting up and I wanted to laugh at this whole situation.

"I thought you would have left.."

"Nope." She smiled, "Still here."

"Who's this?" Gee motioned over to Derek.

"Her boyfriend." He said confidently. Gee glared over at him,

"What the hell is going on?" Frank asked, walking over to us. Gee muttered something under his breath to Frank. Frank looked over at Lindsey,

"Why would you bring your new boyfriend to one of our shows?" Frank asked.
I knew this didn't involve me but I couldn't help myself, "Gee brought his new girlfriend." Everyone's eyes looked over at me.

"What?" I asked, shrugging. Frank grasped my hand and pulled me away,

"You knew about this? Why didn't you tell Lindsey that Gee would have felt awk-"

"It's not like that-" I was going to tell him that Lindsey wasn't actually dating that guy, but he cut me off in return.

"What the hell, I'm being serious here. She has no right to being some random guy -"

"Frank, it isn't any of our business." I said quickly.

"You're fine with Lindsey dating some guy, they barely broke up and she's already dating someone else."

"So is Gee!"

"And," I added, "He has no right to be pissed off because she brought someone along. He's the one who said he needed time."

"You should know all about needing time."

I stayed quiet, and looked away from him, "That's different, Frank. I wasn't the one who made out with random girls at some party, he was lucky that Lindsey even gave him a second thought. And I thought we were over all this 'you and Jenna' shit, 'cause I'm tired of talking about it."

"I'm gonna go meet some fans." he responded while walking away.

Oh, great.
