Make Me Better

Chapter 8

OK, I was beyond happy for Frank. I wasn't so happy about all the goddamn kissing. They were a new couple, I understand that. They want to be together all the time. These two were even worse than Gee and Lindsey and that was saying alot!

"Oh my god! Shoot me in the face." I begged as I looked up at the ceiling. Lindsey laughed and patted my back. Jenna had just stuck her tongue down Frank's mouth. Do you have no shame? You're in a room with a crap load of people. Making out should be the last thing on your mind. Of course, she didn't think the way I did.

"Stop complaining." Lindsey nudged me lightly. I was complaining. A little bit too much?

"I'm grossed out, OK? " I said with annoyance. Lindsey smiled softly.

"So, are you saying you never did that with your boyfriend?" She asked with a tiny smile forming on her lips.

"Not in a room full of people. OK, maybe if we were shitfaced but that doesn't count. I have class."

Lindsey laughed, "You don't like Jenna."

"What? I have no problem with her." I scoffed.

"Seems like you do." Lindsey nodded. I became annoyed with the conversation and walked over to the couch to join Mikey.

"Let's go out." Gerard yawned as he emerged from his room. He grabbed his car keys and walked out the front door. We all got up to follow him. Ray refused to drive his car. He apparently didn't have enough money for extra gas. That lead everyone to squish into Gee's car. Minus Mikey and Bob, who stayed at Mikey's house to play video games. It was a bit awkward. Lindsey in the passenger seat with Gee driving. Ray, Frank, and I sat in the back. Jenna sat on Frank's lap, happily. I wouldn't bother me as much if I were sitting on the side. I was sitting in the middle. During the car ride I come to the conclusion that I found Jenna's voice annoying. She sounded like a valley girl. A valley girl with no emotion.

"Where are we going?" I asked after I realized Gee hadn't said where we were going.

"Who knows." Gee shrugged. I sighed and leaned into my seat.

We ended up at mini golf place. I was too excited. I shouldn't be this excited. We all stood around our obstacle as Frank tried to concentrate. He hit the ball too hard.

"Damn! This is the last time I'm going back to buy you another ball." Gerard scolded Frank. Frank had hit his ball into the water, yet again.

"I want a blue one this time!" Frank yelled to Gerard as he walked away.

"Whole in one! I'm going to win." Gee cheered. Lindsey pushed him aside as she set up her ball and hit it. It wasn't as fun as I thought it would be.Frank kept losing his balls while Gee kept reminding us that he was winning. Oh! Let's not forget that constant kissing from both couples. Ray and I stood there awkwardly.

"What the fuck! How did you win?!" Gee groaned as he added up all our scores.

"I won!" Frank laughed and did a little victory dance.

I laughed as Ray stuffed the golf balls into his fro.

"What the fuck do you need those for?" Gee asked. Lindsey chuckled.
"I dunno." Ray shrugged.

It occurred to me that I hadn't ever really talked to Jenna. Maybe she feels left out? She annoyed me but I didn't want her to feel like we didn't want her there.

"So, what grade are you in?" I asked her. We had all went to grab a bite to eat.

"I'm in 11Th." She nodded.
"Oh! You're a year younger. I didn't know that." I smiled. She nodded. OK, this wasn't working.

"Did you have fun today?" I asked. She was quiet for a while.

"Yeah, I guess. Did you?"

"Totally. Nothing like getting my ass whooped in mini golf." I laughed.

"Don't be a sore loser." Frank said as he handed me my slice of pizza.

"Me? A sore loser? Never!" I grinned. Frank shot me a goofy grin.

"How long have you two known each other?" Jenna asked. I opened my mouth to answer but Frank beat me to it.

"Uh, we met in the 7Th grade. Then she left me." Frank pretended to cry.

"I didn't leave you." I laughed.

"Where did you go?" Jenna asked.

"We moved to London when I was a sophomore." I said, " Came back for senior year."

"Wow! I've always wanted to go to London." She laughed.

"It rains alot." I said before taking a huge a bite from my pizza.

"You aren't leaving us again, are you?" Frank raised an eyebrow.

"I don't think so. Why you gonna miss me, Frankie?" I asked with chuckle.

"Of course!"

We finally left and all piled into Gee's car, again. This time I was so bored. We were all chatting with one another.

"OK! See you later guys." I said as I got out the car. Everyone waved and I jogged to the front door since it was a little cold. I walked into the hall to be face to face with my mom. She was all dressed up. We stared at each other for a while.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"To New York." She mumbled. I didn't mean to be nosy but I went through her phone last night. I happened to stumble upon a test message from that douche. He was going to be in New York.

"Does dad know?" I asked slowly. She didn't answer me. She walked past me into the living room.

"Why are you doing this!" I snapped. She turned around, she looked surprised at my outburst.

"Olive, don't st-"

"Don't start?" I laughed.

"Do what you have to do." I muttered before I walked up the stairs to my room. I made up my mind. I was telling dad. No matter what. it ruin this family but what I had to tell him what she was doing.
