Vanna Ariadne Ladd is a professional figure skater who just moved to Chicago to move in with her cousin, the Blackhawks winger Andrew Ladd. She moves there for rehab on an injury and to better her training to become an Olympian within the next few years, but what awaits her is much more than she thought.
Beginning in the 2008-2009 hockey season, Vanna tries to escape her past as she meets her cousin's teammates. She instantly connects with all of them.
Except one.
For some reason, her and Brent Seabrook clash constantly. What will become of them? Will they hate each other which kills Andrew Ladd on the inside, or will something form between them that no one will ever foresee?
