We Must Reinvent Love

Introduction

Maybe I looked weird with my thick eyeliner. Maybe it was because my hair had the messy look to it. Was it my black rimmed glasses that made people look at me in disgust? I don't know, but at Palo Verde High School they don't give a damn about you if you're different than everyone else.

Here's a scenario:

A boy who has glasses and braces is walking down the hall way his sophomore year. A few of the 'cool kids' push him into the lockers and call him a sissy.

End scene.

See what I mean? I'm not making this up. Well, junior year is supposed to be his year. Brendon Boyd Urie's year. I was by his side since we walked into this school and I'm not leaving now just because he's lost the braces. He wouldn't do that to me, so why would I do that to him?

Well, he has forgotten me. The last time we talked was, in fact, sophomore year.

Things will get better, though. I know they will. Because best friends don't leave each other or talk about each other behind their backs.

I guess he's not my best friend. He did all of those things. Today. In front of my face.
