It Takes Disaster to Learn a Lesson

You are at Todd’s compound playing with designs while Jacko and some other riders are riding. Your phone rings. You look and see its Tracy.

“Hey,” You said.
“What are you doing?” Tracy asks.
“Just doing some work at Todd’s spot.”
“Oh cool, you want to go to lunch with me and Annie?”
“Um.”

You look and see Jacko and Todd just messing around on their bikes.

“Sure that’s sounds good,” You said.
“Ok Wahoo’s?” Tracy asks.
“Yeah bye.”
“Bye.”

You hang up and put everything away and go over to Jacko.

“G’ day,” Jacko said.
“Hey I’m going to go grab lunch at Wahoo’s,” You said.
“Get me something,” Todd said.
“It be like an hour.”
“Get me something.”
“Who you going with?” Jacko ask.
“Tracy and Annie,” You said.
“Ok, I will be safe.”

You smile and kiss his lips.

“I’m taking the truck and I call when I’m going to come back so you guys can get food,” You said.
“Ok,” Jacko said.
“Thank you,” Todd said.

You go and drive to Wahoo’s. You go in and find them setting at the table. You order your food.

“So where did you and Jacko go this month?” Tracy asks.
“Egypt, then it’s Madrid, LA, Italy, Sydney,” You said.
“Are you going to all of them?”
“Not Madrid it’s too close to x-games and I have to go to Italy and Sydney because come on its Rome and then it’s just in Australia.”

“How do you fell with following Jacko around all the time I mean don’t you fell like he is above you?” Annie asks.
“Um why would I feel that? I follow him so if he’s hurt I can be there with him every step of the way,” You said.
“He supports you guys.”
“I make a little less than him.”

“Why did you move out?” Annie asks.
“Yeah, come on it’s been just three months since you and Jacko had been dating. That is so freaking soon,” Tracy said.
“I’m pregnant,” You said.
“What?” Annie asks.
“You are joking right? That guy never gave in to you when you guys were in high school,” Tracy said.
“Didn’t you guys use protection?”
“Things just happen guys,” You said.

“Why aren’t you getting rid of it?” Tracy asks.
“What?” You ask.
“You are only 20, it will hurt you so much.”

The food came. You eat without talking to either of them and they start telling you about adoption and abortion. You call Todd when you are done.

“3 fish tacos and Jacko what you want?” Todd asks.
“2 Carne asada tacos,” Jacko said.
“Got it.”
“Yeah bye.”
“Bye.”

You order the food to go and pay for everything.

“Who are you getting food for?” Tracy asks.
“Jacko and Todd,” You said.
“While how do you like living with him?”
“It’s good.”

Lacy and Jimmy comes.

“Hello all,” Lacy said.
“Hi Lacy,” Tracy said.
“Hey,” Annie said.

They hug her and Jimmy looks away from you.

“Aren’t you two friends?” Annie asks.
“Things happen,” Jimmy said.
“Good, you don’t need to hang around her,” Lucy said.
“She is a slut like you thought Lacy,” Tracy said.
“How you figure that out?”
“She’s pregnant.”

Jimmy looks at you. You nod your head.

“What did Todd do?” Jimmy ask
“Strangle Jacko at the airport,” You said.

Jimmy laughs and opens his arms.

“Coagulations,” Jimmy said.
“Thanks Jimmy,” You said.

You hug him and he smiles at you.

“I’m sorry,” Jimmy said.
“It’s fine,” you said.

“Jimmy, no be a bitch to her,” Lucy said.
“Why?” Jimmy ask.
“Because you don’t like her.”
“Fuck off we threw bitch.”

Jimmy gets up and the food comes. You go and see Jimmy sitting down on the ground looking at his phone.

“Why?” You ask.
“Jealous, I had a crush on you since we first meet, but when I came back I felt like something was different with you and thought you liked me again, but you grew up and start talking to Jacko. I got a little insane for a bit and pain meds for my ankle wasn’t helping,” Jimmy said.
“There riders are at Todd’s compound want to come with me?”
“Yeah Lacy brought me.”
“Want lunch?”
“Drive threw Taco bell.”

You laugh and go to the taco bell and he gets his food. You go and Todd looks at you.

“Its fine Toddie,” You said.
“Think about Jacko,” Todd said.
“I’m going to make Jimmy explain it to him ok.”
“Ok.”

You hand him his food and set Jacko’s down and go and he smiles at you.

“Come on and I want you to talk to someone,” you said.
“Who?” Jacko ask.
“Hill.”
“Annnnaaa.”
“Just you have to understand he was my best friend. We were not always that wired thing you saw when you came back from Cowboyz.”
“He has to explain why he called Todd.”
“He will. Oh I haven’t told him about talking to you.”
“So I know he is telling the truth?”
“I figure it that way.”

You go and Jacko sit down next to Jimmy.

“I heard about the news Coagulations on being a dad soon,” Jimmy said.
“Thanks,” Jacko ask.
“I’m sorry. I got kinda wired with my proactive side of Anna.”
“Your protective side?”
“I knew Anna only a couple months shorter then you have and I been talking to her. She become a good friend I actually forgot about my crush for her for a good part of the friendship but she flip the card and it flip the switch with me.”
“It was out of sabotage and protective?”
“Yeah, you hurt her before badly.”
“I understand.”

You smile and hug Jacko. He kisses your forehead.

“We can hang around and you won’t get jealousy?” Jimmy said.
“Do you like her?” Jacko ask.
“No something about her being pregnant.”

Jacko laughs and kiss your forehead.

“I got to get use to it,” Jacko said.
“While there one thing I kinda hope,” You said.
“What is it Sheila?”
“Get to know him.”
“Sheila.”
“No Jacko, there a reason why I really connected to him and I think you can too and having a friend around your age that lives here…”
“I try Sheila but I won’t promise.”
“Thank you. He loves Rise Against.”
“What about AFI?”
“The new stuff is ok but there older stuff is better like Very Proud of Ya is my favorite,” Jimmy said.
“You in to more of the punk bands?”
“Yeah my favorite band is Suicidal Tenancies.”
“Urg.”
“What’s wrong with them?”
“They just trying to be Casualties”

“Is he on your side for everything?” Jimmy ask.
“No, he doesn’t like MSI at all and NIN is just an ok band,” You said.
“Haven’t tried to covert him? You got on Jeremy till he just said yes he likes it”
“He can’t be converted. He sticks to his guns.”

You three talk about music while they eat then Jacko gets up and ride. You grab your lap top and start working again.

“You want to go get your bike?” You ask.
“Jeremy is coming to get me,” Jimmy asks.
“What happen to your truck?”
“I got hit last night and my mirror on the passenger side is off and the door can’t open it so I’m getting it fix.”
“You know if you get in to Comps. They give you trucks or vans right?”
“It’s hard getting in to it. I don’t know how Jacko got in to it. Levi isn’t from being on red bull.”
“He was on crusty since he was 13 and the youngest guy on to do the front flip. He risks his life.”
“Are you ok with that?”
“He is safe while doing it there is padding on landings when he tries so even though he is safe it’s still is he going to get hurt.”
“But.”
“He’s not like Todd.”
“That’s good since you have respect for Todd but not on his bike. To you he is just the Golden Whip Rider and crazy FMX person who wants BMX with a motor.”
“True.”

Jeremy comes. You go and hug him.

“How are you now?” Jeremy asks.
“I’m good, being back home is much better,” You said.
“That’s good. Now who is doing your baby shower.”
“Ashleigh or Brooke they the only girls that been there for everything.”
“Ok, Susan wants to come just so you know.”
“I figure that. I’m sure it’s not going to be a surprise it might just be both and done at a safe house.”
“Amy’s?”
“I’m thinking so or my and Jacko’s house.”
“Then you don’t have to haul things”
“Yeah and there noting in the back. The house is spaces but no land.”
“That’s true, bring it up.”
“I know. I told Brooke already.”
“Come on Jimmy.”

“Bye,” Jimmy said.
“Bye,” You said.

You hug Jimmy and Jeremy. They leave. You start working but fell sleepy. You go and lay in the back. You wake up and see you are in your bed. You get up and hear the shower. You knock on the door.

“Yes!” Jacko yells.
“I’m up and wanted to see who was in the shower,” You said.
“Ok Sheila.”

You go downstairs and look at the clock and see it’s five. You go and start making dinner. There is a knock on the door. You open it and see Annie and Mike.

“Um what up?” You ask.
“Can we come in?” Mike asks.
“Sure.”

You go back to the kitchen and make sure everything is going to be fine left alone for a while.

“What you two want?” You ask.
“I would like to apologize for Tracy and Lucy and my comments at lunch,” Annie said.
“I see now you think things are it’s fine.”
“Anna,” Mike said.
“What?”
“She’s trying”
“You know me for three years. You should you know that I hate people who apologies for other people.”
“Yes but…”
“No buts do you even know what happen at lunch?”
“You took Jimmy from Lucy.”
“Jimmy grew up and Lucy called me a slut, and you know me and Jimmy friendship was strong.”
“Is he here?”
“No, I’m with Jacko.”

“She’s pregnant and not going to give it,” Annie said.
“Why would she?” Jacko ask.
“Um who are you?”
“Who are you?”
“Mike and Annie this is Jacko,” You said.

“What smells?” Jacko ask.
“Dinner,” You said.

Jacko goes in the kitchen and you shake your head.

“Where is it?” Jacko yells.
“Still cooking,” You said.

Jacko comes and sit down next to you and put on his head in your lap. You look at him.

“What they doing here?” Jacko ask.
“Talking about the lunch when they decide that I’m a slut and need to get rid of the baby,” You said.
“WHAT?”
“I’m not doing that. I would have told you if I was.”
“Good, they can go you don’t need them.”

“What you haven’t meet us,” Annie said.
“Telling someone that they need to get rid of their Joey is a bad trait and it’s my Joey.”
“How can you be so sure?”

He looks at you there is another knock on the door. You open it and see it’s Todd.

“Come on in,” You said.

He comes in and you go to the kitchen. You check on dinner and go back.

“Anna can we do something?” Todd asks.
“Would you guys get hurt?” You ask.
“No,” Jacko said.
“Go ahead.”
“I get Mike,” Todd said.

You look and you see them picking them up and go outside. You go and get dinner ready and the guys come in the kitchen.

“Are you staying for dinner Todd?” You ask.
“No Ashleigh wasn’t to know if she can plan the baby shower since I seen how your friends are.”
“Yeah but at my house or someone on red bull or monster.”
“Ok sounds good she says work on the guest list also. She wasn’t sure how you be feeling.”
“Ok Toddie.”
“OK bye.”
“Bye.”

He hugs you and kisses your forehead.

“They are not friends,” You said.
“I know that. I saw it today,” Todd said.
“Ok bye.”
“bye.”

He leaves and Jacko looks at you.

“Can we talk about some things?” Jacko ask.
“Sure baby what about?”
“Schedule.”
“Let me get the lap top to pull everything up.”
“Ok.”

You put the plates on the table and grab Jacko’s work lap top and turn it on. You guys start eating. You pull his schedule up and put it in a word document.

“Ok what you want to talk about?” You ask.
“What on the plate for next month.” Jacko said.
“It’s May and you got crusty to do.”
“Come with me till we got to go to Spain.”
“But…”
“It’s a week in a town then a couple days. We can drive to all the stops.”
“Why must I go?”
“Because I want you to meet everyone before you not able to travel then they just going to see the baby and it be years till people notice I have a great Sheila with me and they start wondering about you.”
“I’m not going to hide I’m pregnant to people.”
“I don’t want you to. It’s just I know my family they get so in to a baby when it’s hold-able then just the concept of its being made.”
“Ok would they mind?”
“No, I call them right now and tell them ok.”
“Ok.”
“It be find and you don’t have to stay all the time.”
“Ok.”

You get the plates and clean up after dinner. You sit down and look at the dates he has. You go and put it on them seclude. You pull up your baby chart and look at Jacko.

“In a week I have a doctor’s appointment for the baby and we might figure out the sex,” You said.
“Do I come?” Jacko ask.
“Up to you like all the others.”
“I come, I think I need to be there for you.”

You smile and kiss his lips.

“Wonderful it should be a good day and it’s at ten. What time are we leaving for Australia?” You ask.
“A week at night time, where is Crusty number?,” Jacko ask.

You grab his phone and type it in and hand it to him. He calls them and starts talking. You go and check your final grade and see you got A’s on all your classes. You make sure you not enrolled in to anything for the next semester before sending things to the Mulisha. Jacko smiles at you.

“You can come and Broke will be coming,” Jacko said.
“Great I have someone with me,” You said.
“Yep do you mind meeting my family?”
“No but promise me that even if they don’t like you won’t leave me just because of them?”
“I don’t need to promise that. It’s obscure to think that they won’t like you and that I leave you. I love you Sheila”
“I love you too but you are close with your family.”
“It’s fine.”
“Ok.”

You close business down and you guys go and watch on the pipe 6 before going to bed.
