It Takes Disaster to Learn a Lesson

You guys are at the doctors. You are sitting in the waiting room for Jacko to come out.

“He’s going to be ok,” Jimmy says.
“Yeah sure,” You said.
“You know what’s wrong.”
“What if he gotten worse? They did a full body search.”
“I’m sure there nothing wrong with him.”

“You know the Pregnancy ward is…” A girl said.
“I’m not here for me ok. I’m here for the father who is in the god dame room getting looked out!” You yell at her.

Dr. O comes and smiles at you.

“Come on Mrs. Potter,” Dr. O said.

You get up and he rubs your back.

“You should get checked up with the baby with this stress,” Dr. O said.
“I’m fine,” You said.
“You don’t always know that. I got an appointment set up. It be in this room.”

You sit down and Jacko comes in.

“Ok, the plan is do some therapy on it,” Dr. O said.
“He needs rehab?” you ask.
“No, just therapy to make sure the muscles don’t go week and need rehab when the sprain is gone. I gave him medicine for the pain and show him what to do. I don’t want a lot of walking on it just therapy and come back next week and we see how well you are.”
“Ok,” Jacko said.
“Just hold tight the doctor should be here ok.”
“Ok.”

A other doctor comes in and smiles at you.

“Ok I’m just going to check that the stress you been put through isn’t hurting the baby ok?” The doctor said.
“Ok,” You said.

He hands you the gown for the bottom half. Jacko signs since your doctor is a girl he never minding before. He looks at you.

“He is spouse to do this right?” Jacko ask.
“Yes,” You said.

You get up and change and go back down. Jacko grab on to your hand. The doctor looks and got the Sonogram out.

“You are having a little boy that must be exciting,” The doctor said.
“Yeah is he ok?” You ask.
“Yeah let me do something since he got himself turn around.”
“What?”
“His feet are on your back. It’s ok it’s not going to hurt, sit up.”

You sit up and he starts pushing the stomach out. and smiles.

“There you go. You going to feel him kick a lot more ok,” The doctor said.
“Ok thanks,” you said.
“No problem.”

He cleans the jelly off and leaves. You change and Jacko grabs crutches and go out to the waiting room.

“What you doing here?” Jacko ask.
“Brian is worried about a fall I had yesterday from my back so I’m getting check up soon,” Jimmy said.
“Have fun.”
“Yeah, good lucky recovery.”
“Thanks, Bye.”
“Bye Jimmy, ” You said.
“Bye Anna.”

You drive to Todd’s and go in.

“TODD!” You yell.
“ANNA,” Todd yells back.

You go and smile at him.

“How are you feeling?” you ask.
“Ashleigh won’t let me get on a BMX bike even,” Todd said.
“They say no heavy actively for a week,” Ashleigh said.
“Urg.”
“You want to see something pretty Anna?”
“What?”

She holds her left hand up. You look and see the engagement ring Todd got a year ago.

“OMG You did it,” You said.
“Wait you did it?” Ashleigh ask Todd ask.
“I said I had the ring for a while,” Todd said.
“A while you had it for a year,” You said.
“Spent a year looking for it,” Jacko said.
“Yeah, it had to be the perfect ring, but now Ashleigh are you sure you want to married my hairy cocky big brother?” You ask.
“Don’t forget talkative and stupid.”
“He’s not stupid.”
“I know and I do want to marry him,” Ashleigh said.

“I got a question baby girl?” Todd asks.
“What Toddie?”
“Be next to me.”
“No, I want tradition wedding she be in my wedding party. May is coming and your parents to tell them,” Ashleigh said.

“We didn’t weren’t that aware you guys were going to be coming home this quick,” Todd said.
“The swelling went down in two days enough so I can limp threw the airport,” Jacko said.
“We got a cart to take him places too,” You said.
“Great do you need ice?” Ashleigh asks.
“Just water to take the medicine,” you said.
“Ok.”
“Are you guys having breakfast?”
“Yeah I need to start cleaning will you guys stay?”

You look at Jacko and Todd talking.

“Babe hey,” You said.
“Yes?” Jacko ask.
“Do you want to stay?”
“Sure I thought we were going to grab breakfast here.”
“That was before my parents were going to be here.
“Whatever you want to do love. You meet mine I should meet you”
“Ok.”
“Stay please I think Todd is better around you,” Ashleigh said.
“Ok we stay or try ok.”
“Ok thanks.”
“No problem.”

You go and get Jacko water and hand it to him. He takes the medicine and drank the glass of water. You go and help Ashleigh cook breakfast. You set everything on Todd’s nice table. There is a knock on the door. Ashleigh goes gets it. You go and Jacko grab you and make you sit on his lap.

“How is my little nephew good?” Todd asks.
“He’s good all healthy,” You said.
“Has he kicked yet?”
“Yeah my back pain the last few days was him, but he kicked the belly area once that I felt and Jacko felt that one to.”
“That’s cool. So can I give him a rocking dirt bike?”
“Yeah a black, gold and silver are the colors it can be ok.”
“Match Rockstar cola cans?”
“Yeah ok I love the cans I think they are so pretty.”
“I know.”

You smile and May comes in.

“Hey sweetheart,” May said.
“Hey,” You said.

You hug her and she looks at Jacko.

“Is he taking good care of you?” May asks.
“Of course,” You said.
“Why is his feet on the Table?”
“He needs his leg propped up. He got hurt a couple days ago.”
“Ok, how is the baby?”
“He is good.”

There is other knock on the door. Ashleigh gets it and comes in with your parents.

“Who is this young man?” Your mom asks.
“Jacko, Anna’s boyfriend,” Todd said.
“The one that got you pregnant?” Your dad asks.
“Yep.”
“Let’s eat,” Ashleigh said.

You get up and help Jacko up. Todd grabs him and helps him to the room. He sits down. You go and get him a cup of organ juice and get one for Todd.

“Spike Todd’s for me,” Ashleigh said.

You laugh and put some Vodka in it.

“I notice Todd needs to be drinking to deal with his parents,” Ashleigh said.
“They are not good people,” you said.

You go and May comes in and smiles at you.

“Ok give me some Vodka,” May said.
“I got it May,” You said.
“Ok don’t tell Ashleigh.”
“Its’ fine we did it with Todd.”
“Ok.”

She goes and you did her glass and get you a cup of water. You sit down and your parents looks at you.

“You didn’t’ get any orange juice?” Your mom asks.
“You love it,” Todd said.
“It has pulp and it doesn’t agree with me right now,” You said.
“Ok.”

You smile and he pats your head. You get everything you need and help Jacko so he doesn’t have to use his left hand a lot.

“So I noticing a bandage on your wrist what happen?” Your mom asks.
“I sprain it a couple nights ago,” Jacko said.
“From what?”
“Something happen with a front flip.”
“Were you trying to impress Todd?” Your dad asks.
“No I’m a pro as well.”
“Really?”
“Yep got a bronze medal in X-games for FMX.”
“Really?”
“yeah I’m working on best trick this year.”
“With what?”
“No handed front flip.”

You look at him and he kisses your forehead.

“Yeah, that’s hard. You haven’t landed that one all the time,” Todd said.
“Yeah,” Todd said.

You eat and your parents talk to May and Todd.

“So Anna do you know what you are having?” Your dad asks.
“Yeah it’s a boy,” you said.
“Aw, what are you going to name him,” May ask.
“Thomas is a good strong name,” Your mom said.
“I like Tobias,” You said.
“Tobias?” Your mom asks.
“Yes Tobias Jade Strong”
“Jade?” Todd and May asks.
“It wasn’t a bike name and that was what he gave me,”
“Tobias is a wired name,” Todd said.
“Todd is a wired name.”

“So why did you want us all here Todd?” Your mom asks.
“Well I finally grew the balls and ask Ashleigh to married me and she said yes,” Todd said.
“Really?” Your mom asks.
“Yep.
“So when is the wedding?”
“This winter, we going to do a destination wedding,” Ashleigh said.
“Where to?” You ask.
“Australia.”

You nod your head.

“It’s going to be small just good friends and family,” Todd said.
“And out of the friends who is going to come?” You ask.
“We not flying out to Australia to see the wedding,” Your dad ask.

Jacko look at the belly.

“Can we even make it?” Jacko ask.
“Yeah its 6 months way oh wait depends if we can take the baby,” You said.
“Normal it is ok to take a baby flying after the first month,” Ashleigh said.
“Oh ok, we should be fine then.”
“Great.”

You smile and kiss Jacko’s cheek and start grabbing plates. Todd gets up and helps you. You sit at the bar while he cleans.

“So why Australia?” You ask.
“Ashleigh wanted it on a beach. I wanted it where it wasn’t going to be a lot of people, but we still not going to need to fly things in,” Todd said.
“Having people in Australia to help out with everything.”
“Get people down there that knows people yeah. Brooke already said she helps. Ashleigh got Amy help in it too.”
“Those are good helpers.”
“Yeah we going to just honey moon there as well. How did it go with his family?”
“They like me. I’m surprise. I’m going to make an excuse to take Jacko home he is falling asleep because of the medication.”
“Ok.”

You go and see Jacko laying his head down at the table.

“I don’t think a wedding should be at a beach,” Your mom said.
“I like a nice view,” Ashleigh said.
“Have you seen on the pipe six?” You ask.
“Yeah.”
“Jacko’s Compound has a nice view at sun set.”
“That is true.”
“You cannot get married at a compound,” Your mom said.
“Get married, set off tables to the side and the guys can ride after the ceremony,” Ashleigh said.
“Sounds perfect,” You said.
“No it doesn’t Anna,” Your dad said.
“Yeah it dose it’s my dirt view,” Ashleigh said.
“Wonderful.”

You look and see Jacko asleep on the table. You giggle and shake him

“Babe,” You said.
“I’m up,” Jacko said.
“Ok come on let’s go. You are jet lag.”
“From what?” Your mom said.
“The 14 hour plane ride we just got back,” you said.
“You travel you are pregnant?” You are dad said.
“Thanks Dad I never thought that’s why I had a belly.”
“Tobias is a stupid name.”
“Push me any further and you just might not see the grandchild of yours.”
“So what May is married. She is going to give us good babies with Gavin.”
“We got a divorce,” May said.
“But wasn’t it like four years ago?” You said without thinking.
“Yes.”

You look at May and she hugs you.

“I didn’t know how to disappoint you that’s why I don’t have you over and why he never comes around anymore. We not together,” May said.
“Well there is always Jen and John,” Your mother said.

You hug May.

“Jacko and me are going. He is asleep again,” You said.
“NO I’m not,” Jacko mumble out.
“Come on baby.”

You help him get up and Todd helps him to the car. You hug May and Ashleigh then goes out and hugs Todd.

“Bye Toddie,” you said.
“Bye,” Todd said.

You go home.
