It Takes Disaster to Learn a Lesson

You wake up and don’t see Jacko.

“Jacko?” You yell out.
“Yes Shelia,” Jacko answer.

You sit up and rub your eyes. He kisses your forehead.

“What you need?” Jacko ask.
“What are you doing?” You ask.
“Getting pack we have an hour.”
“Ok.”

You get up take a shower and get dress then put everything away. Jacko took your bags and go downstairs and checks out. He puts things in the buss that most of the riders are taking. You sit in the back with Jacko. Rob comes in and sits next to Jacko.

“Who that?” Rob asks.
“Anna,” Jacko said.
“You got back with her?”
“Yeah.”
“Potter knows?”
“Yeah he knows and doesn’t mind.”
“You happy with her aren’t you?”
“Yeah she one of a kind.”
“I guess but not that special.”

You cuddle closer to Jacko.

“Are we being too loud for you to fall asleep?” Jacko ask.
“No I won’t sleep till we in the plane,” You said.
“Ok.”

“Potter!” Bilko yells.
“What Bilko?” You ask.
“Did you get breakfast?”
“No, I’m not hungry”
“Anna.”
“I get something at the airport there be a MacDonald’s and I can get pancakes.”
“You better.”
“I will.”

“Jacko,” Bilko said in his serious voice.
“I make sure she will eat Mate,” Jacko said.
“Good or I tell Todd it is on you.”
“He isn’t bad Bilko,” You said.

Jacko kiss your head. You smile and kiss his lips.

“You remember Rob right?” Jacko ask.
“Yeah Hi Rob,” You said.
“Hello Anna. You been good since I last saw you?”
“Yeah.”
“Where is Cayden at?” Jacko ask.
“At home with Mum. I miss them.”

You look at Jacko. He smiles at you. You smile and your phone goes off.

“Hello,” You said.
“Hey Anna, I got a question,” Todd ask.
“What is it Todd?”
“Why you moved out?”
“Because I didn’t see the point living with you, why?”
“I miss you.”
“So what is this really about?”
“Jacko spending almost every night with you.”
“Todd we are adults.”
“Yeah you are only 20 years old.”
“Todd.”
“Anna, I just don’t want you pregnant ok.”
“Ok bye.”
“Bye.”

You hang up and turn your phone off. You lean back and separate yourself from Jacko.

“What’s wrong Sheila?” Jacko ask.
“Todd might be mad at me,” You whisper.
“Why?”
“He doesn’t want me pregnant.”

Jacko warps his arms around you.

“Don’t worry. It’s all fine,” Jacko said.
“But…” You start saying.
“It will be fine. I will make sure of it ok?”
“Ok.”

You hug him and he kisses your forehead.

“A little better Shelia?” Jacko ask.
“Yeah, who’s Cayden?” You ask.
“My little Joey,” Rob said.
“You have a kid?”
“Yeah he is three years old.”
“That’s cool.”
“What to see pictures?”
“Oh god the pictures,” Bilko said.
“Pictures god my little Joey is so cute” Maddo said.
“God I hope to never turn in to this” Cam said.
“No you be like Brian and just drag your kids out with you,” You said.

Cam turns around and ruffles your hair.

“Hey be nice,” You said.
“Hey be quite,” Cam said.
“I think Cam wants to see pictures of kids,” Jacko said.
“I think Anna wants to see pictures of them.”
“Sure,” You said.

Rob show you pictures of his kid and you could tell he loves being a father. You guys get out and Brooke looks at you. You go off to the side with her.

“Know how to tell him?” Cam asks.
“Already done,” You said.
“Really?”
“Yeah. I’m going to go get breakfast now.”
“Ok.”

You go and Jacko kiss your lips.

“All good?” Jacko ask.
“Yeah but breakfast time?” You ask.
“Ok let’s go.”

He warps one arm around you.

“Jacko?” You ask.
“Yeah,” Jacko ask.
“I thought you didn’t like Rob?”
“It’s been two years and things change.”
“Like what?”
“His girlfriend and the mother of his child work threw their problems.”
“Ok.”
“I wasn’t with you so our main point of anger was that I had you and he didn’t but then I didn’t have you.”
“You like him?”
“Yeah and we had to share a room for Crusty.”
“Ok. He likes being a father.”
“Yeah he loves it. You don’t mind him and me being fiends?”
“Nope but just asking”

You guys get food and eat the go back to the terminal where you spouse to be and Jacko sit down. You sit on his lap and cuddle up to his side.

“Going to bed?” Jacko ask.
“No, how much longer do we have?” You ask.
“Soon not even half an hour.”
“Good.”

You cuddle in Jacko’s Chest and a flAshleigh happens. You look and see Bilko smiling. You flip him off and Jacko rubs your back.

“Leave her alone Bilko,” Jacko said.
“Oh come on,” Bilko said.
“Leave her alone mate. I don’t think she feeling to good” Cam said.

You pull down your hat and Jacko kiss your forehead. Your flight was called. You go and get in the airplane. You sit down and get settle in to Jacko’s side and go to sleep before the plane took off. You wake up to the plane bouncing.

“Are we landing?” You ask.
“Yeah we in LA now,” Jacko said.
“Great we home.”

You smile and kiss Jacko’s lips. He kisses your forehead. The plane stop and it’s time to depart. You get out and get your bags. Todd came. You hug him and you feel yourself tearing up.

”What’s wrong baby girl?” Todd asks.
“I’m so sorry,” You said.
“What did you do?”
“I’m so sorry.”
“Jacko get your Aussie ASS here NOW!”

You wait and you hear Todd start yelling.

“Let me talk to her then I can tell what’s the problem is. She been fine all trip,” Jacko yells at Todd.
“Don’t you fucken lie to me,” Todd said.
“I’m not come here Sheila,” Jacko said.

You hug Jacko and start bawling.

“What’s wrong? Tell me,” Jacko whisper.
“I disappointed Todd,” You said.
“You want me to tell him?”
“Yeah.”
“Ok it’s going to be ok Sheila.”

He kiss your cheek.

“Todd she might be pregnant,” Jacko said.
“Let go of her right now,” Todd said with hate dripping from his words.

Jacko let go and you look at Todd.

“Why didn’t you guys think when having sex?” Todd asks.
“We used every protection,” You whisper.
“Then why are you pregnant?”
“I don’t know,” You cry.

You look at Todd and he pushes Jacko against the wall and holds him by the throat.

“No Toddie let him go stop this,” You said.

You try to get Todd to let go.

“Why did you do this to her?” Todd yells.
“Todd, stop this,” You said.
“Anna not now.”
“Todd we in public stop this. He is changing color let him go.”

Todd looks and let go of Jacko. Jacko slide down. You hug him and glare at Todd.

“It’s ok Love,” Jacko said threw his choughs.

Jacko stop coughing and take deep breaths.

“Get up the floors dirty,” Jacko said.
“Are you ok?” You ask.
“Yeah I’m fine.”

He stands up and brought you with him then whips your legs off then himself.

“Let’s go home ok. Will you take me Home Todd or do I have to get a ride with the others?” Jacko ask.
“You coming with us let’s go,” Todd said.

You guys get the bags and go to Todd’s truck. Jacko picks you up and puts you on the side. You sigh and lay down on the chair.

“Are you fine Jacko” Todd asks.
“I’m fine” Jacko said.

You look and he smiles at you.

“I’m fine Shelia don’t worry about me,” Jacko said.

You sigh and Todd drives to his house. You get out and go in the kitchen getting hungry.

“What are you doing?” Todd asks.
“I’m hungry,” You said.
“Did you eat?”
“Yes but it’s almost lunch time.”
“Then wait for lunch”
“I want food now. Where are the chips you always have?”
“Here are Cheetos.”
“Yes.”

You open the bag and start eating them.

“How the fucked did you get pregnant?” Todd asks.
“We had sex Todd things aren’t 100%,” you said.
“You guys did try not to?”
“Yes Todd there were condoms and birth control. Right Sheila?” Jacko ask.
“Yeah you can see my,” You said.
“I guess the only thing is for Jacko to go buy the test and you take it and we figure it out.”
“Todd can you just take me back home I tell you ok?”
“Anna.”
“Todd please I don’t if you notice but right now this is not something you should be worrying about.”
“My baby sister getting pregnant.”
“You don’t care. You care if me and Jacko are going to break up again or if he is going be able to take care of us. You not my dad Todd and you shouldn’t be worrying as if you are. It’s not right to you.”

You start crying. Todd hugs you and rubs your back.

“It’s ok Anna,” Todd said.
“No it’s not mom and dad don’t care about me at all. I know they don’t and they not going to come around and I hate them,” You said.

“Toddie!” Ashleigh Yells.

His girlfriend comes in and you look at her.

“What’s wrong?” She asks.
“Nothing me and Jacko are leaving,” You said.
“Ok, welcome back.”
“Thanks.”

You hug her then go remembering you left your car here before you left. You go and get in the passenger seat. Jacko gets in and drove to the store. He looks at you.

“Shelia,” Jacko said.
“Um?” You mumble out.
“Do you want to come in with me?”
“Not really.”
“Ok need anything else?”
“Sour gummy things, three musketeers and recess?”
“Any other thing besides candy?”
“Is there ice cream?”
“There a place right there Shelia.”

You look and see a store.

“You want ice cream?” You ask.
“No I’m good,” Jacko said.
“Ok I will be back.”
“Ok.”

He kiss your lips.

“Are you ok?” Jacko ask.
“I didn’t mean to just tell Todd all those things I know he worries about me is fine he is my older brother but…” You trail off.
“You feel it’s a job your dad should have?”
“Yeah.”
“Go get your ice cream.”
“Ok.”

You get out and order the blizzard and a shake from the Dairy Queen. You go and see Jacko at the car. You get in and start eating it.

“Were you a daddy’s girl?” Jacko ask.
“Yeah he thought me how to do photo and draw, but since high school when I start seeing my first boyfriend it’s like Todd took over his job, and he stop caring causing my mom thinking it’s fine for her to let Todd take me in,” You said.
“I see.”

You look at Jacko. He smiles and kisses your lips.

“You got more than one test right?” You ask.
“Yep the cAshleighier is pretty sure I’m going to be a father,” Jacko said.
“He doesn’t know me.”

Jacko laughs and pull up to your house. You go in and see Mike and Annie on the couch watching a movie.

“Your back,” Annie said.

Amy got up and hugs you.

“Yeah had a fun time?” You said.
“Nope Lucy and Tracy made up,” Annie said.
“Ok, hey I’m going to order pizza for lunch.”
“We going out to eat with Mike parents.”
“Ok have fun guys.”
“You too with your dame junk food,” Mike said.
“Fuck off Mike.”

You go up stairs and order pizza then look at the test and sigh.

“Need water?” Jacko ask.
“Tea?” You ask.

Jacko kiss your forehead and goes out. Your phone rings. You grab it and see it’s a restricted number.

“Hello?” You ask.
“Hey Anna,” Jimmy said.
“What do you want Hill?”
“I called just give you a head up I be at your house hanging with Tracy and Lucy since I’m seeing Lucy now.”

You hang up and finish your ice cream. Jacko brings up the glass you drink it and read over the directions again.

“I don’t know if I will do this right,” You said.
“You will Shelia,” Jacko said.

You hug Jacko and look at his neck.

“You don’t have any bruises from Todd,” You said.
“He didn’t hurt me,” Jacko said.

You sigh and Jacko kiss your lips. The door bell rings. Jacko goes down figuring it’s the pizza. He comes up with Pizza. You take a slice out and take a bit and put it down. You grab the test and go to the bath room and take them. You wAshleigh your hands and sit down. Jacko warps his arms around you.

“Can we watch a Crusty movie?” You ask.
“Yeah, what year?” Jacko ask.
“The one with you landing the first front flip.”
“Ok.”

He goes and gets it. You hear yelling going around. You go down and see Lucy talking to Jacko while Jimmy is holding on to her.

“What are you doing here? Tracy this isn’t your boyfriend,” Lucy screams.
“No he is mine Lucy,” You said.

Jacko smiles at you and Tracy looks at you.

“When the fucked did you get back from Mexico?” Tracy ask.
“Today um like an hour ago,” You said.
“I didn’t even see you. Did you guys have fun?”

“What did you go on a vacation from?” Lucy asks.
“Did you get the movie Jacko?” you ask.
“Yes Shelia,” Jacko said.

You smile and he goes in the kitchen. Tracy hugs you and you talk to her a little bit. She lets you go once you see Jacko go upstairs. You go with him and look at the test. Jacko warps his arms around you since they all say you are pregnant.

“I’m pregnant” you said.
“It’s going to be ok Sheila,” Jacko said.
“You don’t even live in the same country as me Jacko.”

You start crying. Jacko set you on the bed and rock you back and forth.

“We figure this out but just for me calm down love,” Jacko said.
“I love you Jacko. I’m scared I’m only 20 and you are 23. You more papered for this then me.”
“Not by much but I’m happy you having a baby. I want a family with you.”
“But we are so young.”
“We make it through it.”

You look at Jacko and he kisses your forehead. You stop crying and he kiss your lips.

“I love you too Anna. The breakup made me learn that you are the one I want,” Jacko said.
“I love you too Jacko,” You said.
“Call Todd soon.”
“I don’t want to can you?”

You gave him a puppy dog face.

“Fine,” Jacko said.
“Thank you,” Jacko said.

You kiss his lips softly then put the movie in and start watching it. He calls Todd after he made sure you weren’t going to cry again. He came inside and you cuddle in his side. The movie ended and you look at Jacko.

“What going on?” You ask.
“Todd asks what’s going to happen since after x-games I typical leave,” Jacko said.
“I know.”
“So what will we do?”
“I don’t know Jacko.”

You look at him and Jacko smiles at you and kiss your lips.

“Don’t cry it breaks my heart Sheila,” Jacko said.
“But..” You said.
“What do you want to do?”
“I want to figure out what’s going to happen.”
“There could be two things.”
“Ok.”
“We buy a house here and I only go to Australia for the crusty tour or we move in to my house there and my time here will be limited.”
“I don’t want to take you away from your home and everyone.”
“But…”
“I don’t know anything about Australia and don’t know about moving there and being alone with a baby.”
“I understand so we find a house and move in here?”
“Yeah.”

Jacko kiss your forehead.

“We love each other it’s the right thing to do,” Jacko said.
“I know but I’m scared,” You said.
“Everything will be ok.”

You look at Jacko. He lends his forehead on yours.

“Do you want to get in a rush wedding?” Jacko ask.

You look at Jacko and he kisses your lips and smile at you.

“To much change for your liking?” Jacko ask.
“Yeah a little too much for right now,” you said.
“It’s going to be ok.”

You sigh and Jacko rubs your back. You guys talk more about what to do.
