Romantic Nightmare

Chapter 57

~Trinity's P.O.V~

I held on tightly to his cold hand. He stopped right outside the entrance. "You need to wait here, Trinity." He says. I narrow my eyes. "Wait why?" "It's safer." He says stiffly. "No." I say just as stiff.

"Or at least until I say its okay?" I say quite. "Please, Trinity?"

His red eyes were melting into mine as my heart race increased. "Fine." I sigh as I stay behind the crates. He nodded and looked at me. "I love you." He said again and left before I could respond.

I count to a hundred before I move from the old wooden crates to the next pile. I peek out from the side and nearly gasp at the sight.

Hundreds of men, all on the ground. Dead. A chill moved down my spine as I realized the hands I was just holding were the hands who killed these men. Suddenly, a noise slapped me back into reality.

Clyde stood held up by three large men. Xander was in the hands of his father. Immediately, adrenaline began pumping through me. It surged through my body like a rocket. I slowly began to creep up behind the fight.

I snaked my fingers around the silver cross. I knew what I had to do. I slammed the silver emblem onto Mr. Morgue's back. Steam lifted off him as his knee's weakened. He slammed to the floor as I sat on top of him.

I swiftly moved the cross to his chest. "I. Hate. You." I mumbled as he began to smirk. "This is for Mom!" I yell as I plummet the cross into his chest. His body went into a fit of spasms as I got up. No, I didn't get up. I was lifted up.

I heard a gun cock behind my head. I began to squirm around as a familiar voice rang through my ears. "I'm sorry, sweet heart." My dad said.

"Daddy." I mumbled as tears swarmed in my eyes. My body was frozen with fear and my eyes stung as my throat closed. "I'm saving you." "He's already dead, daddy. Please." I begged as the warm tears swelled up, tempting to spill over.

"I'm saving you." He repeated. "Saving me from who!" I shout as my throat burns like fire. "I'm saving you from yourself." He yells as he shoot. Time slows.

The fire shoots through the air. My hand flies to my head, expecting blood, but finding nothing. I turn over to find Clyde finishing up the last thug. I slowly twirl to my dad to find him in Xander's arms. "No!" I shout as he finished my dad up with one twist.

Just like that, I was alone.

Time speeds back up as my dad falls to the ground as do I. I began to cry. "He's dead." I whimpered. I felt so alone. So lost. I was just a little girl, who wanted her family back. Xander stayed quiet. "He's dead!" I shriek as another wave of cries wash over me.

"I'm sorry." "You killed him!" I shout again. "He was going to hurt you." "I knew he wasn't going to be okay!" I began to whimper again. "Trinity," He says as he reaches out to touch my shoulder. I flinch back at the touch.

"He's dead." I cry again. "He was going to kill you." "So what! I'm just a human! I would at least be with them now!" I began to cry. I couldn't believe it.

I was alone.

"Trinity." He tried once again. Instead of fighting, I broke down in his arms. "Lets go home, Trinity." He said softly as he lifted me up, as if I was five.

I stayed with my head in his chest, staining his dirty shirt with tears. I didn't even see my dad again. I didn't even see what Mr. Morgue was like dead.

It seemed like a short trip back home. The moon was shining down on us and a chilly breeze seemed to freeze my tears. Instead of dropping me off, Xander brought me inside. I couldn't help but catch the sad look from Clyde.

Brushing it off, I slipped into pajama's as Xander sat down on my bed. I curled up to him, it was almost as if I fit perfectly into his arms. We sat there in comfortable silence for awhile.

"Trinity." "Yes, Xander?" I said, soft and quiet. All the crying had made my eyes sting. "Trinity, I love you." His voice seemed weak almost. He sounded younger and innocent, and if I didn't know Xander, it was as if he was about to cry.

"I love you too." I said with a smile, peering up at him. His face seemed distant and his red eyes seemed empty. He hugged me tightly.

Soon, my eyes began to droop. I yawned as he seemed to tense up. He cough and his voice strained. "Goodnight, Trinity." I nodded against him. I slipped in and out of sleep. Suddenly, I felt a great head ache coming on. "Goodbye, I will always love you." A voice said, it sounded distant.

I struggled to remember the familiar voice as I felt cold lips touch my forehead. A part of me wanted to reach up and kiss him, another wanted to fall asleep. Soon, the world was black.

Beep. Beep. Beep. I opened my eyes to my pale room. I sat up and stretched, as I struggled to remember where I was. Oh ya! My dad and I's new house. Beep Beep Beep.

Suddenly, I realized the door was ringing. I ran downstairs and flung it open. I soon saw my messy aunt, with her mascara smudged. Was she...crying? I was soon enveloped into awaiting arms.

"Why Hi to you too, Aunt Sadie!" I giggled. "I'm so sorry, Trinity. It must be so hard for you." She sobbed. Hard for me? "Wait what?" I asked, puzzled.

"First your mom, then your dad? Oh Trinity." She wailed again. My dad was dead? "Dad died." I stated. "The same way too. Your poor family. " She wailed.

Before I knew it, I was loading all my precious belongings into the moving truck. I knew I should be crying, but why aren't I? We were loading the last of the boxes before a neat blond haired boy walked up to me.

He looked as if I'd seen him some where, but who knows. We sat in silence as I struggled to remember him. "Sorry about your dad." He said in a quiet voice. "Ya, I know. " I said back, beginning to feel the awkwardness.

"It was nice being your neighbor, Trinity." He said, a sad note was added to him. Aha! He's my neighbor! "You too." I paused. "Clyde." He stated as his face dropped. "You too, Clyde." I said once more.

"I hope to see you, someday." He said, after a quiet pause. Before I could respond, Aunt Sadie was honking away. "I've got to go." I said. "Oh, right. Um, my cousin says bye." He said biting his lip. My eyes narrowed. Clyde and Cousin. Just the way it rolled off my tongue sounded familiar.

I must of shown I was thinking because his eyes filled with a slight hope. "Bye to him too." I said before turning. As we drove away, I couldn't help but look back. The house across the street seemed so foreign, but so familiar.

The feeling inside me was almost as strange as that boy. Well for me, Trinity Skye, the world may never know.
