Let It Shine

Cameron's POV

School has started and things are pretty good. I'm happy with my life, taking one day at a time and having fun. Kira is still with Rob and Zach is doing pretty good too. Once Zach told me he was never going to take a girl seriously again that’s why he has his little "friends".

So once a month on a Friday we have a day were only us hang out Kira likes to call is friends only day. We just do lots of stuff and have a sleep over and today is my turn to decide what we're gonna do and the sleepover is at my house. I have a feeling tonight is going to be crazy.

"Cam!" Kira yelled as she came up to me with Rob

"Hey there Ki" I said

"So are you ready for tonight" I said winking at her

"Oh of course" she said winking back and I notice Rob have me a wired look.

Zach POV

Just got out of class and I'm looking for my best friends but I can't find them anywhere.

"David" Samantha, she is the only person who calls me by my middle name, it's kinda
weird.

"Hey Samantha" I said

"So David wanna do something after school?" she asked

"I have plans" I said

"Oh really" she said

"Yeah... some other time" I said

"Your lost David" she said and walked away. Someone covered my eyes from behind

"Ummm let me guess...Cameron" I said knowing very well it was Kira and she slapped my shoulder and Cameron laughed. When she uncovered my eyes she kissed my cheek and Rob looked at me wired. What's up with him? We all walked around Campus until Rob and Kira left

"Cam did you notice Rob looking at me weird or was it just me?" I asked

"No it wasn't just you he did the same to me too" he said

"Do you think he is mad at us" I asked

"I don't know when he talked with us now he didn't seem mad" he said. I sighed and he flicked my ear and he flicked me so I flicked him back and we started play fighting

"Look at them how cute fighting like little girls" Kenny said in a mocking voice

"Oh will you shut up" I said

"Is that the best you got Porter!?" Kenny said

"No it's not you're just not worth my time" I said and walked away

"Why didn't you tell him off?" Cameron asked

"I don't want to get in a fight" I said

Kiara's POV

We're at this cute little sandwich shop, they have the best sandwiches ever and everyone comes to hang out here. Rob is kind of mad that I was going to be with Zach and Cam and that I wouldn't be with him instead. I don't see them as much anymore, Rob says that since I'm his girlfriend I need to spend more time with him but it's weird because when Zach had a girlfriend he let her be with her friends all the time and would also hangout with us all the time, maybe Zach it just different.

"So CamCam what are we doing after this?" Zach asked

"Yeah I wanna know too" I said "After this we head to the park" Cameron said

"Sounds good" I said. Cameron and Zach were trying to burp the ABC's very mature I must say... We were laughing when all of a sudden Samantha got behind Zach and covered his eyes with her hands then she got in front of him and kissed him. At first he tried to get away from her she wouldn't let him, Cameron and I weren't sure what to do but then Zach kissed her back and she relaxed when she did he got her off of him.

"Hey that’s not nice" she said

"Why did you do that?" Zach asked

"So this is why you didn't want to be with me? So you can be with them” she said. I guess she asked him out and he blew her of to be with us his friends. That’s my Zachary!

"Hey their my best friends" he said

"C'mon David if you come with me you can have more of this" she said kissing him and he pushed her off.

"Look I told you I'm with my friends" he said

"You don't need them, look at Kiara she ditches you all the time to go with her boyfriend and Cameron... Well you can do better than him. But you don't need them you'll be better off with me" she said. I'm about to rip her head off but Cameron grabbed my hand and tried to calm me. But what she said it's true I do ditch them all the time to go with Rob but that’s going to change.

"Don't talk about my friends like that ever again!" Zach yelled with a fire I've never seen in his eyes "What I don't need is YOU! You're nothing to me! If I need you, you wouldn't just me the girl I make out with, you would be my girlfriend! But of course you're not, know why? Because I DON'T NEED YOU!" he yelled. Wow I have never seen him this mad and he never tells people off he is always so nice. I wonder what got him so mad? And by the expression on her face she was clearly not expecting him to say that. But what Zach said about her not being his girlfriend because he didn't need her is not completely true, he still doesn't trust a girl enough for that.

"Well... well I don't need you either" she said and stormed off. Zach sat back on his chair then he covered his face with his hands and put his head down.

"Hey what's wrong?" I asked putting my hand on his shoulder and he mumbled something that I didn't understand

"What?" I asked, he looked up and sighed

"I don't know why I yelled at her like that. That was mean and it's not her fault I have... issues" he said

"Zach relax, just forget about that and start of new" Cameron said

"And about Samantha, what made you snap at her?" I asked

"Well first of all she wouldn't leave me alone and that started to irritate me and then she started saying things about you guys and I guess I just lost it" Zach said looking down

"Well if it makes you feel any better then just apologize to her" Cameron suggested

"Well I understand why she didn't want to have you out of her sight, I mean look at those eyes" I said looking at him and he smiled then his smile faded

"Hey why the frown?" Cameron asked

"Well I just ruined the fun" Zach said

"Hey hey hey who said the fun is over, with Cameron here never fear" Cameron said and we laughed.

From there we headed to the park and it was so much fun. We played all over the playground like little kids and then we played some tag. Those boys never fail to amuse me. After the park we headed to Cameron's house. When we got there we played bored games, video games, and watched movies until now that Cameron had the crazy idea of going in his pool and it's like 11 pm.

"No leave the lights off" Zach told Cameron

"Cameron your crazy you know that" I said

"Yup pretty well" he said

"Zach you’re shivering like crazy get out of the pool" I said and he nodded no. He just had to be him and had to go along with Cameron’s idea. Zach was the first one to jump in the pool, actually he’s he only on in right now.

“Kira you’re not coming in?” Zach asked with his teeth chattering

“No” I said and Cameron got in

“C’mon Ki please” Zach pleaded

“Fine” I mumbled giving in and I got in the pool.

Even though it is dark I can see Zach’s eyes sparkle from the moon light. Zach was shivering a lot but of course that didn’t stop him from chasing Cameron. The cold didn’t seem to affect Cameron. They seriously act like little kids but it’s fine I love them like that.
